How to organize it ?
This rolling tool box is great. I look inside and see slots and various protruding plastic. Does DeWalt have tips on how to take advantage of these features ? I'm not a carpenter, I'm using it for motorcycle spare parts, cables, small boxes.

Latch broke
I happily shelled out the $79.99 for Dewalt knowing that this box would be better than buying a big Tupperware container to house my saws, so that they don’t get rained on in the back of my truck. The wheel feature is nice, but as I wheeled it to work, for the first project ever, the box lightly bumped a door, and the latch fell off, clanging onto the floor. At first it appeared the latch was still useable, but it appears now that it won’t stay on. Now I don’t know what to do with it or my saws.

Looks good, isn't tough
Purchased this DWST38000 Tough Chest on 9/21/20.It arrived at my house on 9/24/20. Took it to work on 9/28/20. Rolled it out of office and on the way to my truck it fell over and the back corner hit the concrete. Keep in mind the container was empty. When I got to my truck top load it I noticed the entire top part from the corner to where it latches was cracked. So this thing tipped over while empty and broke. Don't buy it is my recommendation as it isn't tough as advertised.

Great for storing horse equipment
I have been using this to store my equipment at the barn where I keep my horse. I've had it for over a year and my only complaint is that one of the latches broke off. I have a LOT of stuff and it all fits in this huge box. It also rolls easily, despite being heavy, with a nice, sturdy handle. It is waterproof and it is tough enough that no mice have chewed through it or anything. Although this box did not come with any inserts, I did find some Sterilite bins with lids that fit in here perfectly (at another big box store) so lesser used items to be stored neatly at the bottom of the box. I also used a drill to put holes in the plastic lattice on the inside of the lid so I could attach bungees to make a DIY bandage lid. Not sure if this compromises the strength of the lid at all but it will still be waterproof. I would definitely recommend this box.

Bought two of these. Also bought a similar trunk made by a competitor because HD only had two of the DeWalt's in stock. Really like the design of the DeWalt much better, and it just feels sturdier . . . but then one of the latches broke :/ I had only used the trunk a couple of times so that was really frustrating. The latch itself is made of metal, but it is attached to the trunk with a plastic anchor - so it was the plastic anchoring mechanism that broke, giving the metal latch nothing to anchor to. I have tried to find some way to rig it to make the latch functional again, but so far no success. Of course the lid still closes so the trunk itself is functional in that respect, but obviously not secure with only one working latch . . . And then the same thing happened on the other trunk just a short time later! So at first I assumed I was just unlucky and it was something I had done. Still don't really understand how either one broke - but when the exact same thing happened to the other trunk I realized it was not me - it's a design flaw to attach the metal latch to the truck with nothing but a hard plastic anchor. See photos . .. first one shows the one good latch, followed by the one where the plastic anchor broke (on both trunks). Don't like the competitor's trunk nearly as much - but at least the latches are both still functional on it.

I love everything about this box....except the latches. I bought 2 of these boxes and all 4 latches have fallen off. Their is a metal wire clipped into the plastic held in by 1 small screw screwed into the plastic. I was able to epoxy the screw and screw it in tighter to keep the latches in place for the future. But clearly a shortcut by Dewalt. So if you buy one tighten the screw that holds the latches in place or they will fall off and if they disappear you wont have a water tight toolbox anymore
