Tough Tape 25 ft. x 1-1/4 in. Tape Measure

I didn’t try to drop it from 100 feet as the package says, but I have no doubt this thing could take quite a few drops from a 10 story building. The one downside is it’s big, for a 25 foot tape it’s just as big as the other brands 35 foot tape. One feature I didn’t know I need, the double sided printed tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tough tape. Fell from 11 feet and bounced with no damage. Tape retraction is strong and smooth. Clip holds tight and hasn't damaged pockets. A little heavier than my other brand 25 Ft but carries easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great improvement from the original tough measuring tapes. I like this shape of the tape and the rubber over molding feels great in hand. Few weeks in using it every day the retraction is still very nice. I like the size of this hook, works great for all the things I need to do. Removable magnet is a great idea for when you need it and when you don’t, also really easy to clean magnet when remote. The tape lock is an improvement also, works great.

However, I had always tried different brands of tape measures along the way and usually found myself preferring the other brands . Once I started using the DeWalt Tough Series tape measure for some small projects, I realized they have really stepped up their game. I’ve used their tapes in the past, and they were just okay. I can tell they have taken product improvement seriously - this tape isn’t too heavy, fits well in your hand, the rubber and plastic grips are just right, extends/retracts smoothly, and is easy to read. I could live without the red inch markers (the ones that start over at 1 after 12”) - they seem to make the tape itself a little too busy and the user should be able to perform the necessary simple math in their head without the additional markings. I say remove the markings, but otherwise a great tape measure - good job, Dewalt!

It would barely fit in my nail pouch but thankfully the belt clip solved that. the drop rating on it is also a plus. Im basically a child at heart so once i found out this has a standing length of 15 feet... i was sold!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my DeWalt 25’ Tough Series tape measure just as I was beginning the complete renovation of my kitchen. For me, it’s the perfect mix between my other tape measures as it is sturdy but not too bulky or heavy. I have small hands, so the shape and grip design makes it easy to hang onto, plus the (removable) belt clip comes in handy while moving about my shop. I attach it to my bib pockets so I’m not constantly searching for where I left my tape measure. It’s easy to lock and unlock unlike my XP which sometimes requires effort to release. I wasn’t sure I’d need the magnetic attachment but added it so I wouldn’t lose it. I know retrieving dropped items isn’t it’s intended use, but after a long day when your back hurts, it’s nice to be able to use it to pick up a dropped nail instead of crouching down. The large, double sided print is absolutely genius! I won’t use the back reading all the time but appreciate the option for when it’s needed. The overall length of the tape measure body is stamped into the side at the base and is also easy to see and read. The standout feature is awesome, I easily got it to 11’ before it started to arch. The hook is well made and the recoil is just right. I have another tape measure that routinely bites me. This one doesn’t have such a violent recoil, it’s smooth and controlled. Overall, this has replaced my past models as my new favorite tape measure. I can’t think of anything I’d change, it deserves a five star rating.

Magnet on the end…… and feels very durable. This is a perfect size for everyday use. I keep this thing with me wherever I go. It has become my go to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the tape has features like many others you see in box stores. Great stand out length and easy to read marks. Body is average size while the weight is a little on the above average. The belt/pocket clip works as intended. One difference is this tape has a removable magnet at the end. The magnetic tip took effort to get on and I am not positive it will come off with ease. This isn’t a concern for me as in my field I utilize the magnetic tip often. Also once/if removed I feel without storage for it on the body itself it will get lost. The recoil feels much stronger then previous tapes I have used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dewalt ToughSeries 25 ft. Tape Measure will become your everyday tape measure. It feels right at home in your hand and has a nice weight to it. The tough outside skin that is easy to grip so not to slip out of your hand which I do all the time is probably the main feature I like best. Most of my work is done alone and having a tape measure that will handle long measurements is a must and this works out great. It comes with a small but powerful magnetic piece you clip on to the end. Didn’t know if I was going to use but afraid it would end up lost so I put it on. A week into using the tape measure I was installing a new tv antenna for someone, I was about 20 ft up a tower, harnessed in when I dropped my crescent wrench. Luckily it landed on a flat section of the roof only about 8 ft below me. I was just beginning to unhook my harness when I spotted the tape measure with the magnetic end clipped to my belt. Well lets go fishing. Granted the time it took to fish for the wrench and unhooking harness and climbing down was probably the same but fishing is fun. That little magnet locked right on that wrench and easily handle the weight. Yes buy this tape measure. Okay the picture that is posted with this review is staged so you see that it did happen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this tape measure at work for about a week now. I love the removable magnetic tip. The extra wide tape makes the stand off great. Built very tough. The numbers on the bottom of tape are great. Looks and feels great. This is the best tape I’ve ever had.
