What's the power for a refrigerator tv light bulb to work

Asked by beba March 23, 2021

Answers

A typical refrigerator is about 700 Watts, TV's range between 200-500 Watts (depending on type), light bulbs are marked with rated wattage. There are labels on 120VAC appliances that list their running wattage. Generally near where the power cord enters the device. Just keep in mind devices with motors (i.e. refrigerators) may require 3X the running power to start for a second or so.

Answers

This unit provides 1700 Watts continuous and 2200 Watts starting. Basically what a 14 Amp 120 VAC wall plug provides. A refrigerator is around 700 Watts and a 12,000 BTU air conditioner is about 1700 Watts. These types of devices need about 3 times the running wattage for start the motors. Check the label on the units you want to run and add up the wattage, and account for starting power. You can download the owners manual from the manufacturers web pages.

Dewalt generator
The Dewalt investor generator is a very handy thing to have especially if you’re power goes out. I used this to connect my sump pump in a power outage and it worked great. The unit is quiet and runs smoothly. The unit seems to be very durable.

This is a nice little generator. It's heavy, but relatively small, about the size of a carry-on piece of luggage. Setup is fairly straightforward, and I do recommend reading the manual. They include four pages of warnings (see pic) so I wouldn't be surprised if there have been people trying to run this inside a home or garage. Just leave it in the open and use an extension cord. I was surprised it had USB port, which is a nice feature. It comes with a bottle of oil and a very convenient funnel to put the oil into the machine. The provided bottle is a full load. The generator started after three pulls and didn't take too much to get it going. I was surprised at how quiet it is. At first I balked at calling it 'ultra' quiet, but for an internal combustion engine I'm not sure it could be any quieter. It's certainly quieter than my lawn mower, string trimmer, or even the belt sander I powered from the generator as a test. It would be a good generator for tailgating to watch the games while grilling in the parking lot.

DEWALT Ultra Quiet 2200-Watt Inverter Generator with Auto Throttle & CO-PROTECT Technology, 50 St...
DEWALT Ultra Quiet 2200-Watt Inverter Generator with Auto Throttle & CO-PROTECT Technology, 50 State. I would consider this unit a gas-powered portable battery charger. The lightweight unit is setup to charge USB equipment, 12-volt batteries with included cable and includes a 20-amp receptacle with a 15-amp circuit breaker limit and GFCI protection. On a job site without power this would be a good unit to charge batteries for cordless tools. Also nice for small tailgate equipment or to charge electronics when power is knocked out from a storm. The unit came with accessories including a 12-volt charging cable, Philips/straight screwdriver, spark plug wrench, oil funnel, small storage bag and small bottle of initial engine oil. Both side panels are removable for access to the interior. The two Philips screws on each panel are captive so they cannot get lost when accessing the interior. The spark plug is also accessible through a removable panel on the top. There is a CO monitor and cutoff to keep the user safe, this unit should never be used in an enclosed space and never indoors. Once started the engine can be switch to economy mode to conserve fuel. The gas cap has an open/close valve so that the vent can be closed during transport. Prior to starting for the first time the supplied engine oil must be added using the supplied funnel. I recommend using ethanol free fuel to keep the carburetor clean when not in use, the fuel will also stay fresh longer. The unit took several pulls to start the first time, I assume to get the fuel into the carburetor. Once started it ran quiet and smooth. The exterior of the unit has warnings and instructions on all surfaces. There is a low oil warning LED, overload warning LED and A/C power LED. Using the optional parallel kit sold separately you can parallel two units for output power up to 3400 watts. Not sure how this works because the instructions for this operation are included in the optional kit.

DEWALT Ultra Quiet 2200-Watt Inverter Generator with Auto Throttle & CO-PROTECT Technology This generator is amazing it starts up quickly and runs great and is very quite compared to others that I have used. It came with a pouch with tools plus a funnel to use and oil to add in. It was very easy to set up and use. They say it weighs 50lbs but doesn’t feel that heavy to me. While it is running you can hold a normal conversation with someone without yelling. There are many things that you can use this generator for including at a job site, camping or most importantly to me in the event of a power outage. You can also charge your device’s with the USB port. I will use mine to run our sump pump and refrigerator during an emergency. You can also charge an automotive car battery with this unit. The included instructions were very easy to follow and understand and the best instructions I’ve seen from many products that have been produced lately. There is a separate panel on the top that slides off to access the spark plug. It’s a bit of a tight fit for my large hands but if you take your time you shouldn’t have any problems with it. You have to add oil before you start it so read the instructions before you attempt to start it or you’ll destroy you new generator. I expect to get many years of service from this generator. So yes, I highly recommend this item.

I got the DeWalt 2200 watt Inverter generator Model number DXGNI 2200. It's surprisingly quiet, easy to start and has a lot of useful features like USB charging ports that we all use now, it also comes with a set of 12 volt battery charging cables that have a separate outlet that only fits the 12 volt cables. Two 15 amp 120 volt AC outlets with GFCI. And the unit is parallel capable. It has CO gas protection technology to shut the unit down if CO gas increase rapidly. And there are lights to let you know if everything is working correctly or if there's an issue. I have ran it to use corded Sanders, a jig saw and chargers for battery power tools ran and works great. And the sander and jig saw was louder than the Generator.

This is a very compact generator that so far exceeds my expectations. It was very simple to set-up and came with the oil required to get it running. I was very please with the eases to start and at the sound level it putts out, even under a load. Its very light and has a decent size fuel tank. According to the manufacture it will run for 11 hours on 1 gallon of gas and that's not to shabby either. This really i a sold piece of equipment that seems to be very well made and given the manufacture and name I'm not surprised.

This portable gen is great for our frequent trips to the cabin and parks. Right out the box you have what’s needed to get started (minus gas of course). You can gauge how much gas you have by looking inside the tank and see how much is left. The included oil is the amount needed to run it. It comes with a funnel and battery cable for charging. I was curious to see if it will start a car, but the manual clearly states this is not viable. Furthermore, it will not regulate the charging power. So basically you have to monitor the charging. Obviously for this review I have yet to have a power outage so I decided to test this with my patio setup which includes TV, mini fridge, 2 string lights in my gazebo, 4 fans and a security cam all running from a dedicated outlet to the fuse box. This gen ran all of that with no problem. I estimate close to 900w (not including initial startup surge for TV & fridge). I ran everything on regular mode, but it has an economy mode for low power usage which makes it a little quieter. Unlike my big 6500w gen, this one doesn’t require you to place far away for conversation. It’s pretty descent noise level in normal mode. I ran it for roughly 5 hours before it seem to need more gas. We often travel to parks for family outings and up north to our cabin and this will be ideal to run things outside with no hassle. Initially I had an issue with starting, but after opening the gas top vent in choke mode it started up just fine. It didn’t say anything about this in the manual so be aware. Overall I can’t much on the negative side about this unit. If I had to pick a movie not detail, it would probably be to drain process for the oil when it time to change it. You will have to drain it from the same spout where you fill which will require you to lift and hold as you pour. Not doubt this will be a little messy, but again a minor inconvenience in my opinion.

This Dewalt ultra quite 2200W inverter generator is a fantastic inverter generator for tailgating or for emergency use during storms and black outs. I just moved to Georgia and I jumped at this product with how much rain and lightning there is out here. This inverter generator is quite enough to have a conversation around. Pull starts easy for anyone to use. Love that it has the CO protect auto shut because I have children and I don’t want to accidentally get anyone sick with the carbon monoxide. Cable of pig tailing off another generator to double its output which is nice. 2 USB ports and output is enough to run a few lights and my refrigerator which is what I was looking for in an emergency. Don’t want to loose my good or the change on my phone. Economy mode is nice to run quieter and allows unit to run longer a tank of fuel. Internal components are fairly easy to access through the side access panel and the spark/oil panel. Unit is fairly light weight at only 58lbs. Picture shows me Lifting it with one arm and I don’t have the most upper body strength. I would recommend this inverter generator.

I really needed a small generator I could move around fairly easily because I use power tools around my property and have to use 2 100' heavy duty extension cords to reach some areas. This powers my table saw and smaller tools easily. The Dewalt name really speaks for itself, and didn't fail me with this generator. It is great for portable use. Pull cord start, it starts right up every time. Great for camping and meets National Park Service campground noise rules too!! It is much more quiet than my full sized generator. It has an economy mode also, which is even a bit more quiet. You can talk and not have to shout over it. It does make noise, don't get me wrong, just not as much as you might expect. Adding oil and gas is easy. Use a small funnel for the oil to avoid potential spill due to angle, no big deal. The instructions are very clear, really simple and super easy to understand. I have also used the USB port to charge my phone and tab. The other receptacles are a gfci protected outlet and a DC outlet to charge dead batteries. It comes with everything you need except gas and a funnel. This generator even comes with a connector to charge a 12v battery. It has covered outlets to protect from weather and keeps bugs, sand and small debris out. The carry handle on top and small compact design makes it easy to move, even at about 50lbs. It is very quiet for a generator. The safety features like CO Protect and low oil shutdown are great to have, as well as Auto Throttle. It is a portable generator, so in a power outage it can't run several things as with a more powerful full sized regular generator, but it will power your refrigerator with no problem for example. You can use it to power your fridge for a few hrs, then make coffee or heat food in the microwave and charge your electronics, then go back to powering your fridge. I know I probably jumped around as I thought of things, but I don't just copy text from descriptions or other reviews, I try to be honest from my own experience. This really is a great 2200w inverter generator in a nice, portable design, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a smaller unit for power outage or portable power.
