Q:I know it says each shelf can handle 1500 pounds, but can the wire mesh hold weight? I would like to put kettlebells and dumbells on it. Would this be able to hold a 90 pound weight on the mesh anywhere or would I need to cut up wood to disperse weight?

Q:I see there is an option for a 18x48x18, is this accurate? I want something with this dimensions but I see no images of something that would look like those dimensions. I need it for a small space.

Great Shelf
This is the perfect size for me. But it is not without issues:
(1) You cannot buy extra shelves, You can only buy another complete unit to get the shelves
(2) The stacking hardware is not available separately. Each unit comes with two stacking brackets. (you need 4). So, again, you have to buy another complete unit.
(3) I needed 2' taller and 2 more shelves, so I had to buy an extra unit and spent time with my cutoff saw and extra screws from hardware isle.

Satisfied customer
The shelving system works. There were some fabrication issues, one upright was not punched correctly, causing the upright to be out of square and not securing to the cross member properly. Also this shelving was missing the wieght capacity tag. That I wish I had. I called customer service and offered me 15% discount and I accepted.
That being said, I have 2 other Dewalt 3 tier racks. They make for great storage.

Dropped the material thickness in the last 6 months. My old shelves measure 0.065" vs 0.046" on the new one. Not cool.
I just bought a 3rd one of these and the quality of the paint has severely dropped. It looks like they changed suppliers. I also noticed the material seems to be a gauge thinner. It looks like they went from 16ga to 18ga.

I'm a Milwaukee guy but......
This little rack is super cool, easy to set up, and small but stores alot. I also purchased the cord keeper. I do wish it was easier to change the height of the shelf's without having to complety disassemble the shelf. Also some of the other attachments that are sold separately are more expensive then the shelf itself.

Rugged Shelving
I knew from past experience that I didn't want the typical flimsy grey utility shelving that seems to be offered everywhere. After researching and comparing I decided to buy this unit and am very satisfied with my choice. These DeWalt shelves are indeed industrial grade, well designed, and constructed. Everything needed to complete the assembly is included. I put it together solo without any problems, but an extra pair of hands always helps. These shelves are heavy, so I recommend assembling them in the location where they will be used. I appreciated the little extras in the design like, straps under each shelf to keep things from twisting, and the simple DeWalt logo keeper pins that ensure the shelves can't be jostled loose from their mounts.
