The Diablo 1-3/4 in. high speed steel forstner bit can drill straight, angled and overlapping holes in all types of wood with minimal splintering. The sharp center spur accurately locates the center of the hole for precision. Diablo forstner bits feature a double-ground, razor sharp serrated edge that slices throughout the rotation of the bit for less splintering and chipping.

Excellent bit
Great Forstner bit. Worked flawlessly in my drill press for a prolonged time. Clears wood shavings while operating too which is a huge plus. Quality bit. Cut's through ALL types of wood.

This is my first Forstner bit and it worked well, especially considering its reasonable price. The job was 12 shallow holes in fir 2 x 4 s, all good. Then I tested it on a piece of oak firewood which it also cut easily, even with a deliberately interrupted cut - see picture. (Used a light duty 5 amp drill press.)

This hole saw is extremely sharp. I needed to make a hole on my closet doors for large finger pulls. I was very concerned about splintering but that didn't happened at all. It was a smooth clean cut. I'm more than happy with this product.
