Diablo's next generation 10 in. x 24 Tooth Ripping Carbide Circular Saw Blade features new laser-cut stabilizer vents for precise and clean cuts in a variety of wood materials. The advanced stabilizer vents feature a permanent filler baked in from top to bottom for absorbing noise and preventing sideways movement, allowing the blade to slice and rip through wood cleanly, quickly and accurately. Constructed with TiCo Hi-Density special-blend carbide, Diablo's 10 in. ripping blade produces razor sharp cuts and provides 5X longer cutting life. The laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand and contract during use, keeping the cut true and straight. This blade is excellent for general ripping applications and sheathing walls and/or roofs.
  • TiCo high-density carbide for increased performance and maximum cutting life
  • Perma-SHIELD non-stick coating for protection against heat, gumming and corrosion
  • Super-thin kerf design for fast and effortless cuts
  • New advanced laser-cut stabilizer vents absord noise and vibration, and prevent sideways movement for precise, clean cuts
  • Tri-Metal Shock Resistant Brazing to withstand extreme impact
  • Precision tensioning is a computer controlled process to keep the blade flat for a better quality finish
  • Laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade rim to expand and contract without warping for straight and accurate cuts
  • Great for cutting hardwoods, softwoods, pressure treated wood, plywood and OSB
  • Blade can be used on table saws (portable and stationary)

Q:Can someone explain in layman's terms, the difference in blades based on the #of teeth?

Answer This Question

A:  Tahomamjr is correct, but I would add some info. It's easier to rip cut (e.g. the long 8 ft direction on a 2x4) with fewer teeth (your table saw is less likely to stall) and there is less resistance so there will be less wood burning. And I'm out of chara

A:  More teeth = smoother and finer cut surface. Less teeth for rough carpentry, more teeth for finish carpentry.

A:  No, they are not flat. Like most ripping blades, they are alternate wrecked points.

        Melt free is a joke
This thing is no better than a fine toothpad blade. In fact I'd argue the plywood blade actually melts the composite a little less and you're paying $10 less for the blade. This track's plate is a joke to overcharge you

I am ripping battens out of seasoned 1x6 pine16 ft long. My old general purpose blade would pop the circuit breaker on the saw at least once per cut. The Diablo Rip Blade cut through the wood like butter. I have yet to pop the breaker on any rip.

Very comparable to the Makita blades, which I think have the the best cut. Diablo blades are much more affordable. I use a lot of the Diablo blades., in my skilsaws, table saw, and my mitersaws. Great blades.. Diablo blades are all I use now. Very happy with the cuts and the life of the blades. I have been using Diablo blades since I first saw them in my local Home Depot. About 8 years. I have not found any other blades that comes close in the stores I purchase from.

          Just what I needed
Iv'e used other brand blades and this one cuts great! Some good points I've noticed; 1 sends shavings downward and away from my face. 2 feeding wood to it is effortless. 3 ripped wood has a nice edge note: you might need to just do one swipe with some sandpaper. I am very pleased with this blade as I needed to rip very hard rock maple. It has done that and more with no burn marks and very close to glue ready edging.
