Answer

I would start with the least abrasive pad and test it, white is the final, so white, red and then green. sanding removes material, polishing makes it shiny. for what purpose are you wanting to remove material may change the answer. stains vs scratches

Work On Porcelain ?

Asked by sbd October 24, 2015

Answer

The 17” White Non-Woven Buffing Pad from Diablo is the least aggressive pad in our selection of pads. However, Comet is a very aggressive cleaner and it in itself may cause scratching to the surface. We recommend using the White Pad with a less aggressive cleaning agent to complete this task.

Will this work in conjunction with a buffing compound to polish marble floors back to their original shine?

Asked by Chefetter December 8, 2014

Answer

The white pad can be used “damp”; however we cannot say how well the buffing compound will work if the floor is in bad shape.
