Q:Can this blade be used on my Ryobi cordless circular saw that came with a 5 1/2 in blade?

A:  no it can not

A:  remember the size is the diameter of the blade--- so if only a 5 1/2 blade is the diameter of the opening of your saw then a 7 1/4 will not work

A:  Hello Timitee! It should be not a problem but please be aware of a slight reduction of the cutting depth. Also please always follow the tool manual for safety instructions.

Q:Is it safe to use with a 3/8" arbor?

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Rick, Thank you for your question. This blade is designed to use on a 5-3/8" saw with a 10mm arbor.

        by|Nov 23, 2021

          A:  3/8" = 9.5250mm so a blade with a 10mm center hole will fit on a 3/8" arbor. Is it safe? Yes

          by|Apr 5, 2020

A:  Yes. A 3/8" arbor is 9.525 mm, which rounds up to 10 mm. It'll work fine with no chatter.

          by|Apr 9, 2020

            A:  Yes, I use it on a 3/8" arbor and 10mm = 25/64" which is 1/64" larger than 3/8"

Q:Can this blade be used to cut the bottom of a hollow core door without splintering the door surface?

A:  I purchased it for this exact purpose and had success. Just take your time and touch up the edge with sandpaper when you are done and it should be fine.

              by|Mar 10, 2020

A:  I would say no. You will need a blade that has more teeth. I would suggest a paneling blade. You may want to take a straight edge first and use a razorblade knife and scor each side of the door first. This blade is for rough cutting lumber.

                by|Mar 10, 2020

A:  I would recommend against it. This is a ripping blade, which will make quick work of it but does not leave a nice cut. Look for an 80-tooth blade or higher to get a nicer cut. Also, if you can put thin scrap on both sides of the cut or even tape, you will get a better result.

A:  I bought this blade to do exactly what you are doing and it worked very well. But your experience may depend on the composition of your particular door. Why don't you do a test cut?

                    by|Mar 10, 2020

A:  I would not use this blade, a fine tooth blade is better

Great Blade, even after cutting through nails.
I bought this blade because it fits my Ryobi saw I bought almost 12 years ago. I used the blade to cut plywood panels while building a Murphy Bed. During use I ended up cutting through a few small nails, and was able to continue finishing my project.

                        Smooth cut, great finish!
Purchased to fit a 12V Milwaukee circular saw for an off-grid build. The blade runs true, and does a great job of cutting. Finish cut on cabinet-grade plywood was better than other brands of blades. Would reccomend and buy again.
