Unfortunately, the first time I used the drill bit the head broke off in about 4-5 seconds of drilling. Considering Diablo a decent brand I’m pretty surprised by this, I’ve seen a lot of things happen to drill bits but never the head being sheared off. Will not recommend or buy again.

I'm very much happy with these DIABLO tile & stone drill bits. I have tried them on a few pots because I needed drainage holes for my plants. I used the largest 5/16" bit and drilled 3 types of pots: low quality clay pot (about 3/16" thickness) - 3 seconds, good quality clay pot (1/4" thickness) - under 2 minutes, very high quality ceramic dishware (1/4" thickness) - 15-20 minutes. However, when I used from smallest to largest in steps on another similar dishware, it took me 4 minutes to make initial 1/8" hole and a couple more minutes to increase the size to 5/16".

DIABLO TILE AND STONE CARBIDE TIPPED DRILL BIT SET (4-PIECES) - While I did not use each size I have no doubt each will perform equally well. I have used numerous other drills on ceramic bathroom wall tile to attach towel bars and this product drilled the tile with little difficulty vs. usually breaking at least one bit per install. Made a dreaded job a bit easier.

My husband got the Diablo Tile and stone Carbide Tipped Drill Bit Set (4 pieces) and he is really impressed with the quality. He always tries to get Diablo products when he is looking for saw blades, drill bit sets, etc. Today, he used it to drill a hole in a glass jar. It did a great job! He would definitely recommend this product if you need tile and stone carbide tipped bits.

Got the Diablo four piece carbide tipped set 1/8" - 5/16" tried it out on some ceramic tile. Really done a great job started easy with very little effort to stop them from walking. Drilled four holes to lay out a larger hole didn't seem to heat up at all. They also work on natural stone Granite and Glass. Think I will get the 3/8" and the 1/2" on my next trip to Home depot

So far, so good.. I tried these bits out on a both a paver stone and a glazed tile (see attached pictures) On the tile - all four bits went through the tile like warm butter. All four initially bit into the glaze without that dancing around you often get with a masonry bit. The paver stone was slightly more challenging. I should have guessed given the density of these pavers. But the bits all did well. Time will tell as to whether they keep sharp over time and use. I'll try and update as I use them more. I also like the case - very sturdy and a great shape. Unlike other cases for bits that are flat, this one has two rows of two. It fits into the nooks and crannies of my drill bag better than another flat case would do.

These drills are top notch. I have drilled through tile and stone 10 times in 1 day with a bit and it looks as good as new. I am impressed with their durability. Sizes include 5/16, 1/4, 3/16, 1/8. They are encased in a handy storage container. I use these at slow to medium speed and they cut great. Diablo makes superior cutting blades and bits. I use Diablo in all of my tools and trust them as the most reliable on the market.

We have installed porcelain wall and floor tile in several projects in our home. We have remodeled two baths and replaced carpet with porcelain wood-look tile in our living room and up a staircase. Having worked with ceramic tile before, porcelain is more expensive because porcelain tile is made from more refined clay and it's fired at higher temperatures. This makes it denser and more durable than ceramic tile meaning it might be tougher to cut tiles and drill holes. I had my concerns whether these carbide tipped drill bits would do the same job as diamond tipped. The bit I used had no problem. The packaging cautions against using too great an RPM and/or using a hammer drill. Steady moderate pressure is recommended. In the future I may putting up some grab bars in our baths (we are getting to be old codgers) and these bits will come in handy mounting them.

I was disappointed with the Diablo Tile and Stone Carbide Tipped Drill Bit set. I tried to drill a hole into the tile I have in my master bath and I was not successful. After a few minutes of drilling, the bit was worn and I was unable to complete a single hole into this tile. The 4 piece drill bit set is nicely packaged and look like they would be good. To be honest, I almost always have trouble drilling into hard surfaces such as concrete, tile or stone, so maybe I just don't know how to properly drill into hard surfaces.
