MC8500UL 1/60 HP Evaporative Cooler Pump

A:  This pump will work with most window evaporative coolers. Check cooler manual to be sure.

A:  Unsure as to warranty, but I've burned through four of these in one season. Not sure if build quality has dropped?

A:  Yes, this concentric pump is warranted for 1 year from the date of sale. Warranty is void if pump is abused, altered, water damaged (e.g. white calcification), improperly installed, or stored in a cooler winterized with a plastic cooler cover. Please bring our phone number, 800-350-3425, and the pump to your local Home Depot store and have them call us to verify the pump condition and to authorize replacement.

A:  This pump was designed as a replacement for Mastercool / Arctic Circle coolers, with a water flow of 360 gallons per hour (gph), using 8" to 12" rigid media. There is no way to adjust the waterflow on the pump itself. You can use a restrictor clamp to pinch the line to lessen the water flow. Take a look at the cfm of your cooler and there may be a pump more suitable for your application, such as the 1150 pump for a 5500 cfm cooler with a gph of 240. It all depends on the cfm of your cooler.
