Product Overview

Flush your drip irrigation lateral quickly and easily with DIG's Q58 Compression End Cap. Install the End Cap onto the end of the 1/2 in. (.700 OD) poly tubing. To flush the line, unthread the 3/4 in. cap for periodically flushing dirt, sediments and debris that have accumulated within the drip lateral or dripline, keeping the system clog free. It is recommended to flush the system each time you add or replace components and at the beginning of each season.
  • Simple to use
  • Cap may be removed and a garden hose may be attached
  • Closes the end of 1/2 in. (0.700 O.D.) tubing
  • Compression end creates a water tight seal without glues or special tools

No for .710" OD poly tubing you need to use the fittings with a blue insert, not black.

I'm not familiar with that particular soaker hose, but if the surface of the hose is rough or overly pores I'd assume you'd have leaks

Can this be used as a cap for my hunter irrigation system spray head that is above ground?

Asked by John March 25, 2018

Answers

I would have to say no as this is meant to seal off a 1/2" irrigation hose, but then again it depends on the circumference of your spray head. These don't cost very much, buy one and try it out. Home Depot will take it back if it doesn't fit.

Can u take this fitting off once it is installed on the hose?

DIG sales a Figure-8 Hose End Closure. The item comes in a 5 pk, or 100 pk. It isn't as polished looking as the compression end cap, but it is a whole lot easier to put on, and take off. It can be hidden in the mulch, or bushes.

These are so easy compared to other brands I have used. I won't use any other because my wrists hurt otherwise. I think I have 15 different lines on timers.

Easy-to-use cap
These caps are perfect for ending your line of drip irrigation. They're easy to slide on, if you take the cap off first, and don't pop off when the water pressure is opened up. Do yourself a favor and remove the cap when sliding it on the end of the line so you're not fighting backed up air pressure. It also helps to add some dish soap to lubricate the end to start.
