Q:There seems to be a degradation in pressure. I have cleaned the screen and even run without the screen and there has been no improvement. Is there a process to clean the regulator?

Answer This Question

A:  Uninstalling the D54 filter/pressure regulator, removing the filter, and back flushing it (run water through the D54 backwards) is the only way to properly flush the pressure regulator. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our technical service/product support team at 1-800-322-9146 or tech@digcorp.com.

Q:Can I use for sprinkler system psi is 120

    Answer This Question

A:  Max operating pressure for our D54 filter/pressure regulator is 120 psi it would be operating at the max pressure it can handle. I would recommend using our heavy-duty pressure regulator HDPR-25 that can handle 150 psi and then connect it to our D55 Y filter to make sure you don’t run into leaking issue. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our technical service/product support team at 1-800-322-9146 or tech@digcorp.com.

Q:Am I using this correctly? I used this to add a drip line between my sprinkler line and a sprinkler rotor. I disconnected the rotor from the line, inserted this regulator in-between and then I added a FHT to FNPT coupler to start my drip line

      Answer This Question

A:  My guess: this is not meant to be between a sprinkler line and a rotary sprinkler. The 3/4" MNPTs should be connected to the sprinkler line and to the drip tubing. I therefore inserted a PVC tee and kept my rotary sprinkler on its own line.

A:  This is not adjustable. It reduces pressure to 25 psi. If you need more water than this permits, just run the system for a longer period of time.

Been installing and repairing irrigation systems for over 15 years and combining the filter & pressure regulator into a single device is one of the best improvements I have seen for drip systems. It used to be that you had a bulky filter with an o-ring that would ultimately leak plus a bulky pressure regulator attached which would ultimately create a valve system that was too long to fit into an irrigation box and still be serviceable. This combination filter/pressure regulator solves that problem with a much more compact and reliable device.
