Yes you can. mount via tie wraps to the top outside edge of A/C unit with the misters pointing down or slightly outward. A simple 12 volt sprinkler system valve connected to the contactor on the outside unit will turn water on and off when the A/C turns on and off. I would put a water filter on the input side. Easy to do and definitely cools the ambient air temp which directly affects your indoor temp. Had one on mine for a couple of years now.
You will need to make them but it’s easy, the tool is included and you get to put them exactly where you want them. I hung my hose 1st to mark hole placement w a sharpie
yes. A connection adapter is included to extend in the future. There is a piece with one end open and the other end closed that you connect at the end of the tube to complete the line. The connection adapter that is included is open on both ends which will allow you to add additional tubing in the future.
yes they have connection pieces in box.
It would work if you are in a particularly dry area. In North East Texas, our summers are usually humid and we generally use it just for the most dry days. One caution for your coop with this system: keep an eye out for mold and mold-type infestations on your chickens.
The hose can be left in the sun without melting
As long as the punch hole is clean you will be fine. I punched a hole a little too hard which went to the back of the tube. This caused a small leak which makes everything wet. I will fix it by adding some caulk or glue to the small hole.
Yes
yes. check the manufacturer for their recommendation.
You can buy a timer but it was more expensive than the system.
