Sturdy, commercial grade knurled grab bar is working out really well. Deep etched knurled area makes for a safe grip. Easy installation with accessible screw holes and one piece construction are added bonuses. The screws that came with the bar are steel. We didn’t have to scrounge around for replacement screws as we so often do with other installation projects.

Sturdy but ugly!
I’m renovating a smaller home that had one of these in each shower. They were one of the many god-awfully ugly accessories that I removed and discarded immediately.
They made the showers look like jungle gyms, etc.
I’ll be replacing with something in nickel or stainless, perhaps the Moen version with the shelf - great idea. Remember to use stainless fasteners if you don’t want to see rust stains, folks.
