    Best stone I’ve used
I like sharp knives and chisels, and I always used aluminum oxide stones. Three problems were that I had to run water over the stone while I was sharpening a blade, the stone eventually became dished (rounded) due to wear, and occasionally a coarse granule would appear as the stone wore out. I would dig them out to avoid ruining the edge. The Duosharp stone avoids all three problems. I do have to rinse the stone off after some use, but it is still more convenient than the others. The base has non-slip pads on the bottom that work well on our counter tops. The steel plate is extremely flat, it is coated with nickel so it does not rust and the diamonds have consistent size. After a year of use, I have been quite pleased with the stone. The coarse grit seems a little more like medium, and the fine can produce an edge that is ready for honing, if you like them razor sharp. It is a good combination for routine use. After a couple of uses, the stone loses a little of its bite, but it remains consistent after that. I recently sharpened a couple of chisels, and they came out really flat and sharp.
