Q:I understand I can use it in my basement as my carpet pad however I have about 30 ft.� I need to install Lvp flooring in a bathroom. Can I use this carpet underlayment for underneath Lvp flooring.
Or do I need to purchase the other dmx product

Failure
I was so excited to find this product, thought I had done my due diligence in research. Lasted just 1.5 years, seams are completely failing.
It started with one brown spot on my carpet, then two, then three, all in a line. Decided to pull the carpet back to check and my suspicions were correct. Moisture had seeped up through the seam.
I also didn’t see any evidence of the “dissipation” of moisture that the product claims... there were some very moist spots. This product was installed AFTER installing a French drain with sump pump, patching holes with hydraulic cement and applying porch and floor paint to seal the cement.

We are disappointed to read your review. We are not sure what you mean "the seams are completely failing"? Did you tape the seams with vapor tape? How were they failing if the load on your carpet is vertical from the top? Moisture dissipates over time, it does not dissipate instantly. But we still don't understand how moisture would seep up through the seams because our vapor tape creates a complete vapor proof seal. creaks and lumps
The tape provided makes it creak. Might not be an issue of the rolls werent so lumpy which makes it not lay flat. Also not comfortable at all. I regret using this over foam underlayment.
