The size is not 2x4 feet
The actual size of the product is 23 1/4 X 47 1/4 so it's not 2x4 feet as it suppose to be. If you going to install ply or osb over the product you have to cut each sheet to make them the same size or in over case each sheet will overlap product 3/4 in both directions. The main question to the DRICORE company is WHY????

            Excellent basement sub floor
The Dricore subfloor has been a great addition to my basement. My basement always feels cold and after laying the wood floors on top I notice a difference in temperature. The foam is a little delicate I would recommend to handle with ease. I used a knife around the edges and didn’t have any sharp edges which made the tight edges and corners easy to handle but you really need to be patient. The tongue and groove was the simplest part of handling in open floors which made the subfloor easy and tight to snap in place.

            Great option for concrete slab
I did a one car garage with this product. The concrete around the perimeter was uneven by as much as 1/2 inch so I installed 1x3 on edge around the perimeter to ensure an even edge. I installed vinyl flooring over top and it turned out great. For an area of 19 x11 I used three boxes with not much waste....just enough left to insulate a built in vacuum box to cut down the noise. I laid down two rows of this material, then put my vinyl plank down and repeated, installation of both was easy, would do it again. I also had a garage full of stuff I had to move from one side to another, including an operational fridge and standup freezer. No problem with this method. As you can see in the picture, only a little bit of the foam board is sticking out. I also put a 2x4 on edge on the working edge of the foam just to make sure I did not step on it during installation and damage the tongue. Would recommend.

              Super Warm!!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This subfloor has already saved me money!! Installation was simple, no tools other than a utility knife to cut it was needed and it went down perfect. Immediately after placement I noticed a huge difference in temperature and I hadn't even installed the laminate over top yet. I would recommend this subfloor to anyone. I wish I had known about it sooner as I had already used a more substandard product in other parts of my home and the difference is like night and Day. It absolutely worth a few dollars more for much more warmth and was of use.

                Great warmth
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I installed this product in my basement bathroom, directly over the concrete floor. Previously I had vinyl laminate directly on the concrete and the floor was quite cold, after I relayed it on top of the dricore subfloor, the temperature change was quite noticable. I did have some issues during the install, being a foam board, it cuts to size very easily, however the tongue and groove fits very tight and I broke the tongue and the first board I went to install. After that I was very careful and had no more issues.

                  Well designed system
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Laid the dricore on my basement floor. Very easy to install and the panel sizes are easy to work with. The pack of 10(80 sq ft) will fit in a car no problem. I am very impressed with the compressive strength of this foam. Perfect product to use if your basement has minor water seeping issues. The only problem I see is you will loose some height to your first stair tread if used in a retrofit situation.

Dricore subfloor provides quick, easy cushioning
The Dricore Insul-Armor is tough to be able to stand-up to the weight put atop your floor, yet still provides comfort underfoot. Laying out this sub-floor is so easy, thanks to the tongue and groove feature on the edge of each 4 foot and 2 ft sides. The panels don't even have to be glued down, and are easily cut to fit using a utility knife. It feels like styrofoam that has been super-engineered to be dense without air pockets and sealed so that it doesn't flake or chip apart unless it has banged into something. I stood on one foot and put nearly 175+ pounds of weight on it and it did creak, but did not crack or break. With tile it would help distribute the weight of your foot and you'd have even more distributed weight over the surface. You can see that the panels are a bit forgiving as ramping up over a oval mat was possible. One could easily cut the edge of the final tile to ensure a bit of adjustment, if needed. This seems so much easier than using floor leveler! If you're building new, note that you'll want to allow for that 1" under the framing. You'll have that floor finished in no time, and enjoying the warmth underfoot thanks to its insulated R value rating of 4.1. Find the instructions online at Home Depot's product page.

                    Easy to install
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Extremely easy to install and cuts with an exacto knife. 1” thick panels simply slot together and there’s 10 in a box. 80 square feet in total. I laid this down in a 100 sqft shed on top of the concrete pad. I just had to purchase an additional 20 sq ft to finish the installation, I laid ply overtop because I’m installing heated flooring cables but it’s so rigid you could lay Vinyl, laminate etc straight overtop with no problems.
