I received the new garage door spring today, it came well packed and included two winding bars. These torsion springs are very easy to install, their are a lot of videos on line that that give step by step instructions. When ever I replace a torsion spring for a garage door I also replace the center and end cap bearings, and this time I will replace the cables too. I'm happy with the quaility and the price of these Dura-Lift springs they work very well.

More tension than was recommended was required to balance the door. The door is a light weight aluminum door that is operating properly. The spring was installed with the recommended 30 turns of the included bars. The door was not balanced!. An additional 4 turns was required to balance the door. The prior replacement spring that was installed about 10 years ago did not require this additional tension. I am concerned why this problem occurred. I suspect the spring will fail prematurely due to the additional tension that was required to balance the door
