A: Thank you for your question, we do not recommend using DampRid under flooring of a cottage built on concrete pads.
A: No, because this stuff will melt and you will have liquid Calcium Chloride.
A: I don't think that is a good idea, I am not an expert but since this product absorbs moisture it might hold it as well and over time could cause more problems.
A: Not really sure. This one is usually poured into one of their containers. Perhaps if you called or emailed the company they might be able to help you. Perhaps they have another product that might be more suitable.
A: The damp rid is two cups - the top slotted cup holds the damp rid material, and the cup below will have the water it pulls out of the air in it. If you put the cups under the flooring, you'll need to add damp rid material over time and empty the water cup.
A: That issue probably should be addressed by a professional versed in dealing with mitigation of moisture that could lead to wood rot. This product isn’t intended in my estimation to deal with such a situation but works well to eliminate moisture levels in closed areas within my house.
A: Yes, this is perfect for limited air flow areas. Although it must be changed regularly since as it absorbs moisture it changes to liquid. The humidity level will determine how often it must be changed.
A: Yes, it’s 100% pure calcium chloride
A: Have used this for years and will continue to use it. My shoes in my closet used to get mold on them if they sat for too long. I started using damprid and don't have that problem any more. I use it in all my closets and under sinks. Love this stuff!
A: NOT SURE ABOUT THAT. I'D GOOGLE THAT.
A: There is other product available that is made especially for preserving flowers. You can "google" and ask what do florists use or just ask what product is recommended.
A: I'm not sure that is the intended use of this product.
A: hilary - DampRid’s crystals absorb excess moisture in the air to create and maintain the optimal humidity level wherever moisture is a problem. They will help keep the area dry but are not meant to be used this way. The crystals dissolve into a liquid brine that has to be discarded every 60 days. The crystals and the liquid should be placed so they do not physically contact your belongings. Please contact our DampRid helpline at 1-800-398-3892 if you would like more details or if there is anything we can do to assist you.
A: Never put this in soil. It will be dead dirt forever.
A: dre - It is not meant to be put in soil and will cause the grass or any plants to die.
