A:  This threads into the female end of the drain fitting and then a slip joint is used to connect the P-trap. We do not carry a coupling for this tailpiece. If need further assistance please contact us at technical@oatey.com.

      A:  Yes it comes in chrome. Yes it can be cut with a hack saw and rethreaded.

        The drain pipe for our lavatory had our j pipe/ trap too low for the 6 inch tail piece to connect. We needed another 4 inches of drop and I didn't want another coupling under the sink that might leak. This pipe was inexpensive, fit the fine tailpiece threads and was easy to cut one end to get the exact length I needed.
