How long are the screws that connect the grooved pieces? I am installing on top of concrete with just 2x2 joists laying on the cement, so need to make sure the screws don't hit the hard surface - are they 1.5" or shorter?

Could this composite decking be used to make planter boxes?
Maria, We wouldn’t suggest using the Venture composite board for planter boxes. This product is a wood-plastic composite, so it contains wood byproducts and isn’t approved for ground or constant-moisture contact. Because of that, it won’t hold up well in a planter environment. For this type of project, our Surestone™ mineral-based composite is a better option, as it’s made from crushed minerals and rocks and handles moisture far more effectively. - Your Deckorators Team

Hi Sooz, spacing between boards is required when installing this deck board as it needs room for expansion and contraction.
What do you use to hold this groved product together ie. such as something you would use in between each board?

No, Venture decking is not recommended for use directly next to a pool. While it is water-resistant, it is not designed for constant water exposure. For poolside applications, we recommend our Surestone® composite decking lines (Voyage or Summit), which are engineered for ground and water contact and carry the appropriate warranty coverage.
