The Defender Ultra HD 4K system is wired and as it is a direct connection with 60 FT BNC cables between the DVR and camera, it does not have any interference issues. Our systems require a BNC cable and we do not recommend cables that are more than 120 ft in length. The Defender 4K Ultra HD footage can be viewed from either the DVR to a stand-alone tv/monitor or remotely to the Defender 24-7 app on a phone, tablet or iPad. It's an OK system
Just an OK review because the cameras are just OK. No left/right movement & narrow field of view. & no option to upgrade cameras. User interface is VERY confusing to me. I'm not computer illiterate, but the interface is confusing. However, set up instructions were good. Never got email notification to work. Images are pretty good. cables are good. Box & wires are a mess. That's not a knock on this brand, but in wired systems.

The cameras have a 79-degree field of view and they are not Pan, Tilt and Zoom cameras however the cameras have a digital zoom feature. We keep our product line small as we like to focus on creating a small number of products as great as possible and at an accessible price point. Simple install but use have patience.
Very easy to install and setup! Used a 1” concrete drill bit to drill through brick, pulled wires through no problem. Two sets of wires will go through the 1” hole. Hardest part of the job is fishing the wires through the walls/ceiling. Buy a fish tape. Connection to DVR was simple with color coded connections on back. Connected cable to HDMI 2 on tv and labelled it PC, use tv menu and it’s right beside Netflix. Don’t use any IP or PTZ camera settings in PVR menu! Don’t go crazy adjusting menu settings but keep password strong. Setup Defender 4K APP and adjust cameras with phone right in front of you. On a scale of 1-10 for installation, I’ll give it a 8 for average person. For a pro, easy 10. At night time, use the APP to fine tune for night vision so the light lines up where you want to see. Daytime will be perfect after that. Simple

4K camera system
Clear pictures on the cameras. You can zoom in to see things further away and it’s still clear. Installation was not bad since we already had an older Defender system and were just upgrading for a more clear picture. The old one lasted 9 years and was still going. The step by step instructions were great and make the setup a breeze. Love it!

I Purchase #2 4K security Camera system...
I purchased a First set of the 4 k cameras and DVR system a week ago, it arrived and I was so blown away by the cameras and all the features of DVR and the app, that I immediately ordered a second set , I also recommended to my neighbor 3 doors down and she ordered a set the same next day, I installed mine and hers today and all’s I can say is wow over and over , I couldn’t be more pleased with how hers and mine turned out , I love how ya can see all in the app, even thought it’s two separate dvrs, I have one set hooked up with the most important cams showing on a monitor and the second set just to view in the app, the notifications are the best feature of this system , although the entire system is incredible, as I’ve said in my first review the cameras picture quality is awesome, and the field of view is way wider that my previous cameras, along with the dvr options and the apps options you can’t go wrong with DEFENDER SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEMS, they have always stood behind there products with me, that’s all I got to say in my honest strait forward review about my recent purchase ...
