Great product!
Excellent alternative to replacing the wood door jamb when screw holes are no longer usable.

Get some drywall screws while you're at it!
Don't bother using the screws that come with this kit. The plate fits 6 inch (center to center) locks too. Perfect for my needs. I did strip a screw and it was a hassle removing it. So just do yourself a favor and use better screws.

    screws are crap
as others stated, the strike is high quality but the screws are crap. pre drilled for 3" screws and heads snapped off 90% in. I had to drill out the screws and use other screws I had, silver ones to they stand out. will look for brown screws later.

      Rusted in 2 weeks
Bought a new door and lock at Home Depot. Spent $1500. Purchased this latch strike plate as suggested by several of their milling staff for extra security. Hired someone to install at cost of $900. Now 2 1/2 weeks later, that plate is all rusted. Home Depot door expert says it’s never happened to anyone before. They even started to talk about moisture from rain or sprinklers. We’re in the middle of a drought and I don’t have sprinklers. Hardware staff says even if I replace it with another, it will rust. I had to cut a hole in the new door jam to match the plate and more holes for the additional screws. Sadly disappointed. I have forgiven Home Depot for many mistakes including major overcharge on an order of over $6,000 that they made me drive 5 hrs and waited 8 hours to get reimbursed. I think this is it.

        Does more harm than good.
Screws that came with the strike plate snapped at the halfway point, permanently obstructing the drill hole amd preventing its use. Do not do business with this company.

Seems good, but I had to customize it.
Overall the product seems good, affordable, and makes me feel a little more secure about our front door getting broken into, however, I do not know if it will be as sturdy as the marketing says. If the pictures help please take a look at my pictures. I am a little handy with power tools, that said, this "standard" 5.5 inches lock spacing did not pertain to my door. The spacing between the 2 locks were a little longer, hence, I had to use an angle grinder to cut a larger hole so the door would close and lock properly.

            Agree don’t use the screws
Other than mortising the jamb, this installs easily. But like others said, the screws stink. I predrilled the hole and it still stripped out

Exactly what was needed for this almost destroyed door jam....
Exactly what was needed for this almost destroyed door jam. I was able to tack and glue the door jamb back into shape place this one piece on fitting most standard door knobs and locks. And it's solid to the frame now.
