This is my second one to install
I had one of these Wi-Fi Deadbolts at my old house and wanted to put this on my new pole barn for easy access. I'm still waiting to install on the door, but know it will work as needed. This Defiant lock is built either by Kwikset or by License since the keys are standard KW1. The system takes four AA batteries and installs easy on any door. If you follow the directions included and the pictures, you should be able to change this out in less than 30 mins. The included wifi plug is a great addition to your wifi controllers and works with the Hubspace App.

Great features!
The Defiant Hubspace Square Aged Bronze Wi-Fi Deadbolt is an awesome bit of technology. Now you can unlock your house with keys, by entering a key code, using a smart device with Alexa or google assistant or your phone with the Hubspace app. This kit also includes a smart plug that integrates the smart Bluetooth/ WiFi deadbolt to your home’s internet. You can control plug in devices such as lamps to turn on for you via Alexa or google assistant when the lock is unlocked. Installation went smoothly however I did have one hiccup. Make sure your deadbolt is in the unlocked position when you install the App and add the deadbolt to avoid the frustration I had. The motor kept trying to spin the wrong way. If this happens to you uninstall the lock via the app and reinstall install it making sure the deadbolt is in the unlocked position. Required and not included are 4 double A batteries. With the app you can assign different people pins to get access to the house and also limit how many times they can use it. You can also limit the number of incorrect pin attempts to avoid thief’s from attempting to guess your pin. If the incorrect pin limit is passed the keypad stops working.

WiFi Deadbolt
This Square Aged Bronze WiFi Deadbolt comes with some great features. It can be locked and unlocked several ways. It comes with a couple of keys. It has a keypad that you can set different combinations for different people. Also, you can download the HubSpace app and lock and unlock remotely! Love this feature. Using the app, you can also tell who entered using the code and set a vacation period where only the master code will work.

Plenty of operating options
Defiant Smart WiFi Deadbolt Matte Black. With downloadable app, this deadbolt is set up is a few minutes. Nice feature is that is has an adjustable delay auto-lock. It can have 10 different user pin numbers to tell who is coming and going. Also comes with Wi-Fi Certified Smart Plug hub. Easy installation replaces any existing deadbolt in minutes. Key pad is not raised buttons, but a flat key pad. "Fat Finger" issues may be a problem.

Works well, nice looking
The Defiant Hubspace Square Satin Nickel WiFi Deadbolt, is a nice-looking deadbolt system. There are several ways to unlock this deadbolt. You can use the Hubspace app, the included keys, Bluetooth, or the digital keypad. Four AA batteries supply the power to this deadbolt and are included. The Installation is easy and it's just like installing a standard deadbolt. It fits into doors between 1-3/8 in. - 1-3/4 in. thick. with no hardwiring needed. A Phillips head screwdriver is all that it needed, as long as you have the existing predrilled hole in your door. This lock comes with a Smart Plug. I confess I'm in my 60's and don't see the need for all these "Smart" things. That said, I was able to download the app, pair the smart plug, pair the deadbolt. Sure enough, from my phone, I could lock and unlock the door! In order to set up the keyless entry with your code, I think the only way to do it is through the app. It wasn't immediately apparent where to do this, but I figured it out. First you click on whatever you've called the plug, and make a master pin number, then you click on the deadbolt and enter the pin you wish to use when opening/closing the lock. You can have separate pin numbers for up to 10 people, in case you ever needed to allow someone to enter your home when you're not there. Once I programmed the lock, I tested to see if I needed the smart plug by turning it off, and the door still worked fine, so I'm not sure why we need that. Regardless, it's a nice-looking lock, works well and has a lot of features I probably won't take advantage of. BTW The Hubspace App is a HomeDepot app that you can control your other smart devices with, including anything you plug into the Smart Plug.

Good quality. wifi on a door lock scares me
So I put this on and it works great but I did not set up / activate the wifi feature. I’m not super techy and yes I my wifi network is password protected, but I’m still not comfortable with someone being able to unlock my door if they hack my network. Other than that, the lock works great with the code and i like to color and square design. It’s also nice that it has a back up key
