The Delta 10 in. Contractor Saw features an industry standard tool-free split guard design that allows a true rise-and fall riving knife by using a lever on the inside of the throat plate. There is tool-less assembly of riving knife and anti-kickback pawls. The Blade Brake stops the blade within seconds of the power being turned off. There is a quick assembly stand with fewer parts, which allows fast assembly.

Is the 15 amp the start up amperage or does the motor run at 15 amp continuously? If so, will it trip a 15 amp circuit breaker?

will the saw accept a dado blade

Yes, this saw accepts a Dado blade, and unlike the 36-725 that is sold by lowes, it also has a Dado Insert that you can buy so you do not have to make your own.

Is this saw direct drive or belt driven ?

It's a belt driven saw. Very quiet, actually. Best to rewire it to ~220v.

What is the difference between the Model # 36-5000 and # 36-5100?

The 36-5100 has cast iron extension wings whereas the 36-5000 is stamped steel
