Don’t buy the two piece aftermarket. Get the single piece OEM cartridge
The Delta 1700 cartridge worked as expected. Easy install to replace my old one. It's pricey but when you have no water, you buy the product.
Yes, Delta has good customer service. You must be the purchaser of the original valve and the valve is still installed at the same location (in the same house.) Confirmed.
Dear Joel, Thank you for your question. The Delta RP32104 is an older cartridge assembly for 1700 series shower and tub/shower units install before 2006. They are not interchangeable with the newer 17 series MultiChoice RP46463 cartridge assembly. Best regards, Tanya
Dear Rey, Thank you for your question. Yes, the RP46463 cartridge assembly came with and is the right one for the Delta Vessona Tub/Shower 174925-RB model. Best regards, Tanya
The 1700 came out around 2000. The scald guard should have a rebuild kit available. Sometimes it's hard to remove the bonnet, as it gets frozen. When you put a wrench on it, you may destroy the copper tubing inside. But if you can get the bonnet off, then Delta one-handle repair kits are available.
Longtime journeyman plumber here, offering pearls: Always buy the replacement cartridge from the genuine manufacturer of the valve. Never buy off-brand replacement parts. Sometimes off-brand ones will work, sometimes not. Pay the money for the proper parts and think about all that you are saving in labor by doing the job yourself, avoiding someone like me. Delta Monitor valves are quite easy to work on. Easy in and out job.
Not available in store in 79424 zip code. Ordered on line.
Thank you for your question. We cannot recommend using different brands with our products. It will void our warranty. We do not know about the Pfister product. Neither Pfister or Danco is produced by Delta Faucet. They are both competitors. Thanks. Jody
That setting is not on the Cartridge assembly. That is on the 2 stage handle assembly. There is a small geared piece that inserts after the handle. There is a C and an H on the round geared insert. Install it so that the H is closest to the stop. Test it. If the water isn't hot then you have installed it 180 degrees out.
