You never know when...
So suddenly there I was with a cast on my leg...never had a cast before. So many things to figure out how to accomplish! It seems there are a lot of things that you can't do while using crutches. Hmmm...Oh no, I can't stand in the shower?! YIKES!!! Home Depot to the rescue! Color me surprised, who even knew that they would carry such merchandise! Well they DO, and it was IN STOCK at my local store!! I was able to place the order online, prepay, and send my support staff (husband) to pick it up. He wasn't all frustrated having to wander around the store having shop for something without me, and my new shower chair was back home in short order. Assembly was even quicker! If fits my guest bathtub perfectly, close enough to the side so I can sit on the side and swing my legs into the tub while I scoot my backside into the seat but with enough space to still close the shower curtain. The height of the chair is adjustable so you can make it match to rim of the top of the tub wall. This item is sturdy too, I felt absolutely secure sitting and moving about to get to all those hard to reach areas. No worries about it damaging my tub either, the feet are well padded and don't slide around. There are holes in the seat and back for drainage, and convenient handles too. I can't think of any thing negative to say, I wish I didn't need the seat, but since I do I am glad to have this one. I will keep this in storage once I no longer need it, you just never know...

Assembly was relatively easy and the chair is stable in the tub. The only design flaw seems to be the static position of the back piece which does not allow much for a longer seat depth for a person with longer legs. Adjustable seat height and seat width are quite adequate for my family needs however and the chair was a good purchase.

I was delighted that the “some assembly required” went easily except when the screwdriver slipped and I punctured a finger. If I can put it together, anyone can!
