How do I purchase the valve for the shower trim kit?

I'm replacing the trim on a 20 year old Delta single lever shower faucet. Will this fit the existing valve or should I get a new one?
Asked by lasw May 19, 2015Hi Lasw, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17267-SS may or may not fit your existing rough-in valve. The only way it will fit is if it was a 1700 series trim used the first time. If it was, then this trim will fit, but you will need to keep your old cartridge. If you need to replace that, please use model RP32104. If your old trim was any other model type, like 1300/1400 or 600 series trim, then this will not fit and you will need to replace it with model R10000-UNBX rough-in valve and then you use your desired trim.
