Never put an exhaust fan or heater directly inside a shower enclosure. The unit should be installed outside of the shower enclosure,. If possible at least 4 feet away.

It replaced a cheap builders exhaust fan; an electrician installed it last week and added an additional circuit and wall switch. We used a double paddle switch to eliminate need for 5th rocker on wall. He enlarged the 8x8 opening to accommodate the larger size with no trouble. The heater heats up our 100 square foot bathroom very nicely as long as we turn it on about 5 minutes before beginning our showers. it is EXTREMELY quiet, much better than heaters we've had in previous homes and than the builders exhaust fan. Because it's installed in the ceiling it takes up no wall space and has clean lines. We are so pleased with this heater and will really enjoy it next winter when it is cold again. It was shipped free to our home and delivered quickly. The price was certainly "right" and it is a good value for what we paid. We recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to work OK. Construction is solid. Quiet, but exhaust... Seems to work OK. Construction is solid. Quiet, but exhaust fan start up very slowly. I thought I had it wired incorrectly at first because it takes a few seconds to spin-up. It seems to exhaust air but I am not sure if it is 80cfm as specified. I do not like that the heater blows very hard and the air is not directed straight down but to the side at a 45 degree angle. I wish I would have known this before I mounted it. My wall and medicine cabinet will be very warm. The heat seems very adequate for a small bathroom. Mounting this unit will definitely require drywall work. IMO it is designed more for new construction than a remodel. Also, there is no access to the wiring from the front like other units. If the connection goes bad then this unit will have to be accessed from the attic. I have no attic access, so any problems will require removing drywall. My old heater mounted from the inside front using screws into the stud/rafter allowing access from the bathroom. This unit has no mounting screws accessible by removing the vent cover. It cannot be removed through the hole from the front. Other than the angle of the heated air and the difficult access it performs as expected and am happy with it.
