    A:  Thank you for your question, BLT! When soldering or brazing the threaded adapter onto copper, you will need to cut the copper tubing at a distance of 2-4" from the finished wall. Be sure to remove the external o-rings first. There should be 1/4-1/2" from the back of the adapter to the finished wall.         Maybe a Little Expensive but OK
        Other reviewers are disappointed that it's plastic; I almost didn't notice that it wasn't metal as the color is identical to the matching shower heads and faucets and it's very heavy. The diverter valve is very high-quality and secure-feeling compared to other brands. The look is very Downton Abbey-esque. It was a bit difficult to thread on but I eventually got it on. Maybe a little expensive for plastic, though.

          The whole piece is cheap feeling. In the end I wish I would have gone with a more quality product. This material shows hard water very easily. The water trickles out and takes forever to fill up my new bathtub. Overall, I wouldn't buy this product again.

            Although I was replacing an existing Delta product with a new Delta product it did not fit . Despite what the description said.To get it to fit would have involved calling a plumber to rework pipes. I did not use it.
