I have purchased and supplied many different toilet paper holders in the homes we build. I am impressed with the quality of this 'Assist holder', which is a grab bar for anyone needing help lowering or rising. I have never used such a solid, sturdy toilet paper holder. It is great for anyone aging in place, anyone with an injury or other compromising situation. It looks great too-I think every home could enjoy this piece.

Usually when installing something, finding a stud nearby may be a simpler task than finding one exactly where you want to install your toilet paper holder. You can usually find one near a door, but only in some rare cases is the toilet near a door. Using toggle bolts seem less than ideal when a person is placing so much weight on a small item. But of course this is no fault of the manufacturer, That said, this is an attractive piece. It is always appreciated when a utilitarian item is disguised, hiding the true intention. As with nearly all Delta products this has a great looking finish and is of superior build quality. The color is in line with most bronze fixtures.

Product has an excellent quality and workmanship. Feature for loading and unloading toilet paper is great as you simply lift the inner bar to replace the paper and sit it back once the paper is loaded. Concealed screws at the bottom of the holder help maintain the area around the base clutter free and flat against the wall. Helps the elderly and provide support as needed when used next to the toilet for holding onto it when seating. The installation instructions, however, were somewhat problematic.Small print used in the instructions sheet make them hard to follow and difficult for those with eye sight problems even with glasses. I had to use a cellphone, take a picture of the instructions and then zoom in the picture to see them at large scale. I then was able to read them through and continue with the installation. Tools required should be visible outside of the box so that one be prepared when purchasing the product and acquire them right there if needed.

First of all I find it difficult to proclaim that I `love` an item so I’ll refer it to like or dislike. What I like about this toilet paper holder. It is heavy at around 4 pounds, giving the appearance of a really sturdy piece of equipment. The advertisement claims it can hold 300 LBs and am assuming that it is screwed to a stud. However, because there are no wall studs, I am using wall plugs that open up inside the wall when screwed in. I found these ample secure for me to use the assist bar and I weigh in the region of 250LBs. The Venetian bronze look certainly does compliment the faucets I have from Delta, although even with other ones it would still be a lovely piece. I do like the ability to change the paper without having to screw the side piece off. To me at least I did find that the instructions were somewhat confusing but after reading them a couple of times, it did become clearer. So, is it worth the asking price? Yep it is. Excellent quality and includes limited lifetime warranty

The Decor Assist Transitional Toilet Paper Holder with Assist Bar in Chrome by Delta just screams class. This is a beautiful fixture when people decorate they often don't give as much thought to functional items like the toilet paper holder. This one has an assist bar function and we really don't want to advertise to others that there are times we might need some help getting off the toilet. But don't worry no one will guess your toilet paper holder is built like a tank. Truly a beautiful fixture well designed and well made, Delta has raised the bar and us a few times.

I have spent a long time trying to figure out how to use the drywall thingy, and after watching and reading everything I possibly can, I still don't know how to install this UNLESS you have 2 studs, which is impossible (unless you remove drywall and add studs/wood in the wall and then replace the drywall). Not going to happen, SO this is going to be a hard to figure out install.... may just have to cheat and pray it holds with ONLY one stud and another kind of drywall screw. UGH.... why can't they make it easy to understand....

A very helpful product for families needing that extra piece of mind. My mother is 81 and I saw the Decor Assist Transitional Toilet Paper Holder with Assist Bar in Venetian Bronze and knew this was a must-have item. The unit is built well and the finish is superior. The instructions are well illustrated but the mounting area needs to be sturdy for the bar assist feature to work. Most walls are hollow and lack studs where toilet paper holders are mounted. I recommend adding a wood plate and secure it to the wall by gluing and screwing and color match paint. Some decorative plates can be purchased for this step at the size needed. This offers a solid mount as one does not want a failure with the handle. The toilet paper holder is simple to refill and well designed. This is definitely not a cheap, lightweight tissue holder. This thing definitely has some beef to it. It weighs in just around 4 pounds. It also comes with all the hardware necessary to install. It also includes step-by-step instructions on how to mount the holder so that it provides safe use of the assistance bar. Typical installation would be on a wall however in my case, it must be mounted on the side of my vanity. No place else for me to mount it. This will probably require me to hire a professional to install it but for the safety of my elderly parents when they visit, I’m sure it will be worth the cost. The oil rubbed bronze color matches the rest of my bathroom hardware perfectly. And the bar that holds the tissue flips up for easy changing of the roll. That, and the assistance bar would be perfect for anyone with mobility issues.

Decor Assist Transitional Toilet Paper Holder with Assist Bar in Stainless was received three or four weeks ago but have not had a chance to install because of the bathroom being remodeled. The installation should have been fairly simple if you was dealing with a standard wall. As you can see from the included photos we was having to deal with a half wall which created a problem for normal installation. Lucky for us the 2x4 wall studs worked out because of the double stud at the end of the wall. The Assist bar is a real plus as we get older and need the assistance of something to pull up with.
