Is the back plate metal?

AnswerHi, Tapinc! Thank you for your question. This Trim Kit will work with any R10000 Rough-In Valve. We make different version for different plumbing installations and optional features such as screw-driver stops. The most common valves used are R10000-UNBX or R10000-UNWS. Best regards, Jon

AnswerDear Mali, Thank you for your inquiry! As long as your original unit is a Delta 13/14 Series, the screw holes on your large round escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions and you do not have a push button shower diverter directly below the off and on handle, then the Delta Dryden 14 Series Valve Trim Kit T14051-SS or any of our trim kits that start with a T13 or a T14 will interchange for you. The cartridge (RP46074, gray top) that comes with the new trim kit may not fit your original valve body, so you will need to reuse your existing cartridge (RP19804, white top). Best regards, Tanya

looks good until you have to work on it....
Make sure to put some grease or anti-seize on the set screw, or you get to buy the whole thing again when the valve needs to be replaced.

Sleek and Functional
You'll spend a little bit more for this very sleek and functional control valve for your shower but it is well worth it. I did read product and consumer reviews on this product as it was rated with similar control valves. It has a great design and smooth operation once installed. There was no change in my water pressure and properly adjusted . . .the level of water temperature was perfect. It appeared to be easily installed by my installer. What I liked about this product was its looks and that all the parts can be easily be replaced if they become defective or break.

Looks nice! Easy to us. Handle easy to turn.
I love this style of shower monitor. Very contemporary and not a lot of grooves (harder to keep clean then). This Dryden series is not same I used for my faucets or other assessories (Lahara and Addison). Coordinates well with them. I liked the square design as opposed to round. I had plumber install so not sure how to comment. I heard no complaints. This type of monitor does not have water pressure control so it is at full strength. If you want that Feature, you need one that has another lever. Something to keep in mind about default setting is, it is not set to hottest setting. The defaulf setting was warm but not hot. It can be easily changed, but tell your plumber to test be it to be sure way you want it.

Good Design
This item was part of a complete update of my master bath. The control is metal, the back plate is not. That was a disappointment.
Works well.
