A:  Hi Nick! Thanks for the question. The RP90158 tub spout will thread onto the copper pipe nipple coming from the wall. The spout comes with the adapter and the end of the pipe should be threaded and protruding 5/8" to 1 5/8" from the finished wall. If you don't have a threaded pipe, or if the pipe is more than the stated distance from the finished wall, you may need to try a slip-on tub spout. That attaches to the pipe with a set screw. The issue you are describing is called Shower Rise which is either a result of an incorrect installation or if removing the spout this still occurs, a defective diverter.       A:  Thank you for your inquiry, Deb! The RP90158 diverter tub spout can be installed by sweating onto a 1/2" C.W.T or thread onto 1/2" IPS. The unit does include a brass adapter assembly RP12307 (you would need to unscrew it from the back of the spout, before installing). Best regards, Tanya

          A:  Hi, Gary! Thank you for your question. The water at the RP90158PN tub spout comes out horizontally. There are trim kits that are in the same Pivotal collection as the tub spout. We have T17T499-PN, T17499-PN, and T14499-PN. Best Regards, Rosanna
