Unfortunately, the Delta Faucet RP48717 Single Lever Handle Kit in Chrome will only work with a shower valve that utilizes the RP46074 cartridge assembly. The RP74148 handle that is a part of model B114900C utilizes the RP70538 cartridge assembly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Expensive but effective

My plumber insisted that I purchase a Delta original handle rather than a "universal" replacement. I shelled out the extra money and did as he requested and the handle fits and works well. It is hard to understand why a basic piece like this cost $30, but the 5-star review is for the product itself, not the cost.
