A:  Hi kssunflower, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Yes, you can choose any showerhead of your choice as all of our hand showers and shower heads will fit our 1/2" inch shower arms. Our Stainless Steel finish is a neutral, low-gloss finish and our Brushed Nickel finish is a warm, muted finish. They do look very similar but they are different. We manufacture our products so our consumers have a nice variety to choose from. We would recommend going to your local Home Depot store to browse through their inventory and also recommend asking for "color rings" to look at the available finishes. We appreciate your inquiry. The escutcheon plate, sleeve assembly, and handle assembly are metallic. The Shower head and tub spout are non-metallic. Non-metallic parts helps prevent heat transfer that could result in scalding and reduce weight. Non-metallic parts are also beneficial in that they do not rust or corrode.
