This is a pretty solid stop but I believe it’s intended for indoor use. I don’t know for sure, but I would be surprised if it did not eventually rust.

I screwed mine into a plywood sub floor but I can see no reason that you couldn't screw it into concrete if you use a concrete drill bit and an anchor.

How do I mount this in floor tile?

Answer

Hello GodzillasRus, The best way is to still screw the door stop into the floor. You will need to use a tile bit to make sure the tile is not cracked accidentally while drilling. I hope this helps. Can install with double contact tape

Answer

Hi Tony, and thanks for your question. No, there is no other way to install this door stop and it work properly other than drilling and screwing down to floor. On the bottom of the stop is a projection that fits in the drilled hole to keep it from moving when a door strikes against it.

The product itself if fine. Good quality and easy to install. The reason I knocked a star off was because the bottom of my door didn't quite reach the rubber section of the door stop. I resolved the issue by cutting a 1/2" piece off of a 1-1/2" PVC pipe and put that between the door stop and the floor. I suggest the manufactures of this product consider adding in a couple of spacers of varying heights to allow compensation for door bottoms that don't quite reach the rubber part.

This is a great looking door stop with its classy satin brass finish. That being said I’m unable to install this doorstop because it has a weird stake attached which makes it impossible to install in my floors. I’ve never seen a door stop with a stake so I’m not sure why it’s there or what to do with it. No instructions included. The included screw would have sufficed to install in my floors. Also includes a nylon anchor. The stake does not take away from the fact that this door stop would still function sufficiently and is made of high quality materials. Rubber bumper to protect doors and buffer sound.

The brass floor mount doorstop is well-built but a little on the light side. The hardware that comes with the doorstop has a screw that is designed for a wooden floor and a plastic anchor for a concrete floor. It has a brass peg to help hold it in place after the screw is in place. With the wooden floor you can just simply screw it straight in but you will have to drill a pilot hole for the peg that is in the back of the floor stop. You will need a concrete bit to drill a pilot hole both for the brass peg and the screw if you're going into a concrete floor. This door stop can be used both in the home or commercial.

These rubbed bronzed dome door stops worked perfect for our French doors so the handles don't crease the walls when the doors are pushed open. When you have grandkids, you have to take extra precaution. Would highly recommend!!!

Inaccurate dimensions
We had new patio doors installed by Home Depot, and the installers did a terrific job. But the new doors are higher off the floor and the existing 1” floor stops were no longer adequate. I ordered two of these stops because the height was listed at 1.5”. That apparently includes the piece that goes into the floor. What is the one key measurement you need but is nowhere to be found in the specs? The measurement from the floor to the top of the stop. I will be returning these as they are identical to the ones I have that are too short.
