AnswersYes—I love everything about it. I ordered it as a pickup item. It came rolled in a large box which was a little heavy. It was a warm day so I sat it outside in the sun for about an hour to soften it so it would lie flat. It’s a great material! Not slippery at all.
What is the width of the lip? Also, of the 53 in. length, how much of it is the lip length?

Excellent product. I have owned several office chair mats over the years. Smaller sizes of these chair mats just don't cover an optimal floor surface area. The 45" X 53" is close to perfect. The lip allows you to slide it under your desk, and serves as a landing area for your feet.
This mat grips well to a variety of floor/carpet surfaces. Your chair glides smoothly across it. It is relatively easy to unroll, flatten, and position - and after ~24 hours is flat, and remains flat, as a pancake!
If you have the floor space, please do not buy the smaller sizes.

Don't get this for a carpet, period. Nearly instantly my desk chair started making lasting divots in the mat where the wheels were sitting on it. Over time this leads to the chair being pulled into those divots, leading to an annoying experience where you are fighting with your chair and the mat to get the position you want.
