Small but mighty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very surprised at how great this vacuum picked up. It is small but mighty. I use it to get up quick messes my rambunctious sons make. They always are dropping or spilling things over onto the floor. It picks up well on the carpet, rugs & hardwood floors. I also use it for the couches. It easy to take it from a regular up-side vacuum to hand held. Any crumbs on the couch are easily picked up. No stress in dumping it. The cord had a great length on it, it's not to short. Overall it is very handy & glad to have it.

It's very difficult cleaning floors with a lemon.
Who designed this thing? The unit shuts-down from overheating before completing the job... in less than ten-minutes! Even more, it takes more than ten-minutes to empty the canister. Which involves inserting fingers to remove the debris lodged and clogging the unit. This, ultimately, is what is causing the unit to overheat -- while creating more of a mess than what I had just finished cleaning-up. (Note: the canister is emptied and cleaned following every use.)

Then they added a floor suction attachment and it got 1000% better! It's a great addition to the everyday cleaning routine. Clean the car, the couch, all the way to those pesky cobwebs in the corner that you can't normally reach!

Useful and powerful little machine!

We have two labradors, one that is in his senior and losing hair more rapidly. This has eliminated our floating fur ball collection. We have three teenage boys who also track in dirt etc. this little vacuum keeps my floors much cleaner with less hassle. This vacuum is light and easy to maneuver.

Compact, multipurpose electric sweeper

I also own a Bissell 3 in 1 electric sweeper and found the Dirt Devil to be tougher on pet hair and dirt on both tile floors and rugs by doors. In addition, easily removing the handle allowed for quick vacuuming of my furniture. With 2 kids, a dog and a cat... hair and dirt happens! Dirt Devil is making this working mom's life much easier!

Little Lightweight Works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little vacuum shocked me at how well it worked. When unboxed it is in pieces and must be put together. Screwdriver is not included. We use it on high pile carpet, braided rugs and hardwood. It is lightweight which made it a breeze to clean our steps. The cord was long enough to do the staircase, but another 5 feet would have made it perfect. My 2 year old loves it and now gets it out of the closet saying mine. The handle can be taken off and used a hand vac as well!

Perfect foe small jobs

It is a little difficult to take apart (I do have SNS nails though, so it could be that). the suction is great for the size of the vacuum. I love that it turns into a handheld vacuum as well. It is also the PERFECT size and weight (very lightweight) for my 10 year old daughter to use to help with cleaning.

Works well for what it is!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pretty impressed with this little vacuum. The most exciting part is the fact that it becomes a little dustbuster on its own. I have five children ranging in ages from 13 to 22 months. My two youngest are toddlers so they are always making a mess. This little vacuum makes cleanup a breeze after play time or meal time. My favorite thing is using it to suck up food that has fallen on the floor and being able to empty it easily and quickly. Crumbs don't know what hit them! I love being able to detach the handle and the roller head and use the vacuum to "dust" along shelves and window sills. I was very excited at how easily it cleaned up around my houseplants, where dirt gets spilled because my youngest children like to dig in them occasionally. I had a mishap in the kitchen where I dropped and broke a Pyrex measuring cup. After picking up the large pieces they were still many small pieces of glass. I used the dirt devil in the stick vac mode to efficiently clean up the rest of the glass. Since receiving this I have used it everyday. I've wanted a hand vacuum for a while but didn't want to deal with charging it. This machine has a decently long, attached cord and is easy to use without having to change outlets many times.
