Q:Will all the accessories for the standard docepole fit the double-duty pole?
by|Mar 22, 2022

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Gene, All our accessories for the standard pole will fit in the double-duty pole. Generally, our DocaPole products have standard ACME threading sized 3/4 inch to 5/8 inches, which allows it to connect to a number of attachments. I hope this information helps you decide on your purchase. Take care and have a great day!

Q:Is the threaded connection the only way to keep the saw on the pole? I see a hole but can't tell if it's possible to put a retaining bolt or clip through it. I'd want to do that to make sure the saw doesn't start loosening on the threads while cutting.

    Answer This Question

A:  I have a DocaPole with a GoSaw and I see what looks like a hole on the GoSaw side that screws to the pole, but the holes are filled (with the plastic that screws into the pole), and the pole screw end does not have a hole that would allow a retaining bolt through it. I have used it to trim one of my palm trees and it has worked fine so far, but time will tell.

    by|Dec 18, 2021

A:  Yes it is the primary way of securing the saw attachment to your pole the hole is intended for reinforcement depending on the type of project that you'll work with a retaining bolt will be a huge help in making sure the saw attached is secure

Q:Read lot of reviews here/elsewhere about these breaking after being used only a few times. If you've used yours a lot, how is its long-term durability?

        Answer This Question

A:  I’ve used mine a few times on Palm tree fronds that are 20 ft above the ground and have not had any problems. The pole will have some flex when reaching those heights. The technique is to let the saw do the work and not attempt to apply extra pressure to the pole.

        by|Mar 1, 2022

A:  With proper care, usage, and storage, we believe all our products should last within intended use.

          Answer This Question

A:  If it were a manufacturer defect I am sure you get a replacement. However if you damaged a section I would think you would need to contact the manufacturer for help. PePersonally, I do t think they would have spare sections for replacing.

On the first use the poles would not stay in option and kept rolling. I tightened them as best I could. The second use, the kept turning again and then I noticed that the part that has the blade had cracked all the way through as well. I only cut about 5 small branches 2 inches in diameter and 5 palm fronds total. This is totally useless, poor quality. DO NOT BUY. Please take a look at the images.

This arrived just in time for my Fall trimming of the front yard Ironwood tree. It is named Ironwood because of the density of the wood. That being said, it it a tough tree to trim and I do it at least twice a year and hate doing it. However, this year was different. The DocaPole with it's 24 foot reach allowed me to get to the top branches without climbing a ladder. On top of that the GoSaw attachment with it's bi-directional cutting ability and 3 sided teeth just ate up the tree branches and cut through it like a hot butter knife. The key is to take slow starting strokes and once you have a pilot cut then increase the speed and pressure. The DocaPole worked beyond my expectations.

The heavy-duty telescopic extension saw is ideal for small cutting and pruning jobs for branches as wide as 1/2 inch to 5inch diameter. For larger jobs you may need a power one, but depending on the length you can also use this. The pole saw comes with a detachable handsaw attachment and a duster attachment. You can expand your set by adding other attachments. The handsaw attachment is strong and sharp. You can also use it as a handsaw without the pole. At its highest (24 ft) it gets quite heavy and difficult to control, but at shorter ranges it is comfortable. When using extended, the saw first gets wobbly until you find the groove and continue cutting. As you cut pulling and pushing, the extension pole might also open up further, then you need to tighten the screws. It gets quite sturdy after tightening. There is a learning curve to get used to the cutting and stop the wobbling, but you get used to it and find better angles. You can use the duster attachment for cleaning a high ceiling fan or you can wrap with a plastic bag and clean your gutters. You can even remove wasp nests over the house (picture attached). It is a must have tool in your garage or shed that you can find use for every now and then and neighbors can borrow it too. Overall sturdy, high quality, versatile, and useful product.

DocaPole 6 ft. to 24 ft. Double-Duty Extension Pole + GoSaw Attachment / Telescopic Tree Pruner Pole Saw/ Extendable Limb Trimmer was the perfect addition to our tool shed. We have a creek bed that runs behind our house with a lot of small foliage and trees. This tool will help clear away the unwanted trees and bushes. Extending 24 ft. will help keep my husband off of a ladder.

The Docapole extension pole and Go Saw Attachment are perfect for trimming tree limbs up to 24 feet. The pole is a telescopic tree pruner with a saw attachment that can be used by hand to cut lower branches. The blade is extremely sharp and cuts the tree limbs with less effort than most tree pruners. I found the pole to be a bit on the heavy side, but other than that it is a great tool to have in my garage.

We just bought a new (used) house and along the driveway tree branches were hanging really low. This telescopic tree pruner did the trick. It is able to extend to twenty-four feet and we were able to cut branches almost four inches thick. It came packaged in a long narrow box and arrived in good condition. All you have to do is screw the saw attachment onto the extension pole and you are good to go. This also came with a duster to use around the house or garage with tall ceilings.

Not your Daddy's pole saw!! This pole saw is a beast. Fully extendable to 24 feet. I was able to easily reach branches 20+ feet high. The saw blade screws onto the extendable pole and in a similar fashion to a paint roller. The pole also comes with a 18 inch duster for reaching those spider webs in the high corners. The lightweight but extremely sturdy pole has 4 locking mechanisms that allow the pole to extend out another 5 feet. The handle is high grade thick foam passing which makes it easy on the hands when sawing those pesky branches.

Just received my new Docapole 6ft to 24ft extension with saw and duster attachments. The pole is aluminum an pretty sturdy. The pole telescopes and has plastic locking fittings that i think may break over time. We shall see. When fully extended it is fairly heavy and might be a struggle for some to control. There is an ACME male thread at the end that the saw, duster, window washing, light bulb changing attachments connect to. I used it to cut a 2" branch on a tree in the backyard that was not at the full 24' and it did cut through it, but it took some effort as it relies on the curve of the saw and whatever downward force can be used. At the full extension i tried a 1" branch and not only did it take some maneuvering to get the pole and saw in place, the section clamps didn't quite hold completely and it felt like the pole was expanding/contracting while sawing. There is a little adjustment for the clamps, but i don't recommend using this at full extension for cutting. There are cushion grips on the bottom and middle of the main section. If one was not needing the full 24', I would recommend the shorter version.

It is all about a really nice extension pole with a limb saw and a lot of other potential attachments. With 24 feet of extension I can finally reach a lot of high dead branches that I just could not get to with previous pole saws or an extended reach pole chain saw. The nested aluminum tube sections are secured by easy to use clamping levers that have a latching tab to prevent them popping open too readily. You can set any length you need from shortest to full extension and the standard screw fitting allows a huge number of attachment options to be added. The GoSaw has offset teeth so it cuts both pushing and pulling but it still takes a while to get through a two or three inch dead branch. There is a set screw on the GoSaw to keep it from spinning in use since sawing is a forceful action. It works best on straight push and pull but I found when at a strong side angle the pole flexibility could start to wobble up and down a lot. Just stop and start again with straight push and pull. The saw does not have a pull hook which I would like since we have many dead branches just hanging in the trees as they had not been maintained for decades before we got this property. On the plus side a nifty duster attachment was included and we found the top of the open foyer is now totally fair game for cleaning! It is proving so handy I'm looking hard at all the other available attachments and hoping maybe they will come out with a chain trim saw with the battery on the handle to make it faster and easier to clip off those high branches.

DocaPole 7 ft. - 30 ft. Extension Pole + Roof Rake+Tree Trimmer Saw Pros: Sturdy, high quality material, versatile, multiple attachments Cons: At maximum extension heavy and unwieldly, pruning saw lacks hook to prevent saw from falling off branch What I like about this extension pole is that it is very sturdy and all the components are made of high quality material. The locking mechanism is simple to operate and is effective. On the downside, I had to file down some of the stops in the locking mechanism in order to unlock them. The pruning saw attachment lacks a hook to prevent it from falling off a branch. I was able to attach a makeshift hook in the hole at the tip of the saw. The extensions pull in and out very smoothly and the tool has a feel of sturdiness and quality. The unit came with a duster and pruning saw. The company web site features many other attachments that might be of interest to the homeowner—duster, cobweb remover, window cleaner, broom, and more. Try to use a short an extension as possible starting with the thickest pole. At maximum extension the pole becomes rather heavy, wobbles due to the flex in the extensions, and is a little awkward to use. These limitations are common to all extension poles. At 20 feet I was able to remove a two-inch diameter branch without any problems—see video. At 27 feet, however, there was just too much wobble for me to remove a 5-inch diameter branch. On retraction be sure not to place your hand between extensions to avoid possible pinching (see photo). Overall this is a useful and high quality addition for any homeowner. Highly recommended.
