Lite shelves are melamine covered chipboard but unlike lesser quality laminate shelves, you won't find unattractive black glue seams between the surfaces and edges. Smooth and durable shelf surfaces and edges. The Liteshelf is designed for a modern look and the cost-conscious customers. Made with melamine surfaces and a core of environmentally friendly particleboard (65 to 90% residual sawmill and forestry industry wood). 3/4 in. decor shelving edge.

Received Wrong Length
Received 31.5” boards despite it being listed as 31” flat. Did not fit the area I needed it for. Super annoying.

Not the right color
I'm all for custom shelving, and down to be crafty. But nothing frustrates me more when a manufacture tries to pull off dirty blonde as "Cherry" finish. My cabinetry boasts of rich color, appropriately presenting the reds that real cherry wood finish should resemble. I knew in the store the color was wrong, but I went ahead and purchased this piece for my kitchen anyways. To the naked eye, it isn't much of a different, but I snapped a picture off on my iPhone against my cabinetry, and boy can you tell the difference. Maybe the manufacture ran out of color dye. What ever the case, if your looking for deep color- I would either wait to see if they get it right, or simply go somewhere else (but not lowes, they're having the same problem.)
Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for. Although I simply had trouble finding anything that would match in other departments as well. Interesting to say the least.
