I wanted to like. But for the 1500watts, where’s all the heat. Compared to my 1000w Presto HeatDish, this things a joke.
I’m really surprised by this. I think it’s a design flaw in the way Dr. Infrared builds their coil. I wanted to get rid of the heat dish on the ground at my desk and figure a nice overhead model would do the job. Not this one. What a waste of money and material.

NOT great for outdoor use
We ended up returning these because they did nothing for our outdoor space. Unless you have some sort of enclosed space, these don't emit enough heat to make a big difference. We saw some similar (maybe the same) in a commercial setting where they had plastic curtains "enclosing" thier outdoor space, and it was barely tolerable to hang out there, but certainly not warm & cozy. I would only recommend these for a garage or other closed off workspace with at least 3 walls, but anything less NO!
