A:  The Sapphire requires 3" of flat threshold space on your tub curb for installation. If you have less than 3", the bottom guide block will hang over the edge of the tub into the shower and the Sapphire will not install properly. We do not recommend installing any tub door on a curb with less than the required space because doing this will completely void the warranty and could compromise the product's safety. A:  Thank you for reaching out to DreamLine. If properly installed and used correctly, there should not be any issues of excessive leaking with this model. The gap between the bottom edge of the door glass and the shower curb should be very minimal, so if anyone is reporting a large gap in their review comments, this would indicate that the door was not installed correctly. This model also has an aluminum rail that gets siliconed to the shower curb and it will serve as an anti-splash barrier. If the unit has been installed correctly, this rail is tall enough to cover any sort of gap between the glass and the shower curb. With any frameless or semi-frameless shower door, the person using the shower door must be mindful of where they point the spray of water. If the user points the showerhead at their body and not directly at any places where water could escape, there should not be any issues of excessive leaking. There have not been any design changes to the Sapphire shower door. The reports of leaking are all related to either improper installation or improper use.
