I saw a different dremel bit that used the surface to move thru material, but if this is used on edge to cut, then I’m unsure how to do complex moulding coping.
I got it to cope some crown molding. Still in the practice stage with scraps. It definitely wants to cut with the edge but you can also do some shaping with the face. Definitely removes material faster with the edge, though. What I do is keep the speed down, especially as I get close to the primer/edge. I switch to a sanding drum for that last little bit because I'm afraid I'll tear through the paint. Initial results are promising.
I have not used this on baseboard, but I have used the edge to cut througf small pieces of wood.
Can I use this with a DeWalt 20V max 1/2" drill?
You can use this with any drill that has a chuck large enough for the shank to be secured in.

It doesn't say it in the description, but I'm sure you can. But you are better off getting a cut off wheel as they are much cheaper and will do the job quite well.
