Dremel Provided Me The Max Life Cutting Wheel To Provide An Honest Review
If you are starting to invest in additions to any of the Dremel Rotary Tool Line I believe an investment in a 1/32 in. Rotary Tool Multi-Pro Chuck is well worth adding to your Rotary Tool. I use the Chuck with my EZ Lock Mandrel and its Attachments often in wood sanding and removing rust from any number of objects from small hard to reach spots while stripping the body of a Gas Grill to cleaning lawn and garden tools. Changing out the various grades of sanding attachments and the short life detailing an intricate item will use up such attachments quickly, I use the Dremel Chuck to keep a good flow to my work and keep from constantly having to take time out to prep a new attachment. I have used the Dremel Rotary Tool for the past 28 years, this was one of the two most welcome attachments I have found in that time for my Dremel. New chucks are more cheaply made
I needed a new chuck for my 4300 dremel tool. The current one got messed up through my own fault. The new chuck, #4486, is visibly smaller and less substantial than the original that came with the tool. I use the tool a lot for different jobs. Honestly, I don't know if the smaller size means it will not perform as well but, if I had to buy a similar tool, it would make me look at other vendors to see how they compared.

We appreciate your feedback. The chuck is smaller so it supports less run out on our different tools. We will contact you directly to better understand any issues you may have related to loss of performance. That should not be the case, so we would like to understand that.
      Works Great!!
Ive read the reviews, and dont agree with most! Purchased this to hold a .04" (1.02mm) drill bit, and it works excellent. Common mistake, this replaces the collet(s), its basically a one size fits from 1/32" thru 1/8" shanks, so you can use it with most any dremel bits/shanks. It is not wrench free, you must use the shaft lock button and the dremel wrench to open and close the chuck. Works great for making PC Board projects.

        Great idea, just one thing.....
OK, I posted a review earlier on this. I was able to use my Monkey Wards tool to cut the chuck off of my Dremel 260. Here's what I found: The chuck was able to screw down far enough on the motor shaft, that it drove past the threads and seated on the larger shoulder of the motor shaft. I ended up grinding off a little of the chuck, and then grinding a long taper on my Dremel's shaft. This allowed me to use the chuck without a problem (Plus a little grease on the threads).

We can't really recommend any kind of modification to get this to fit onto an older tool. And the chuck should not require lubrication.

Works Great!! nice not to have to find that little wrench to tighten collet. The knurled knob is easy to grab and get a tight lock on the burr. Speeds up switching burrs when power carving. All metal construction should last a lifetime of use.

I'm unable to provide a rating as the piece did not fit my model 6800...in fact, there are no parts it seems are available for this model. Very disappointing as I expected Dremel to be a company that would provide for the products it sells! If you're not going to make parts for older models, you should at least make available parts that would bring the 6800 (i.e.) to a level where I can buy current attachments. Very disappointing!
