Depends on thickness. More than 1/4" might require larger wheel.
Yes, should cut through no problem
Absolutely. I've used them to cut off case hardened pad locks. You just have to use a bench grinder or a hand file to clean up the cut and restore the viability of the threads.
Yes it will cut threaded rod. It will spark during cutting so I recommend safety glasses and gloves.
