Very handy wire brush for clearing rust in tight areas or on small items such as a bolt.
This brush is basically good for anywhere you want to remove rust or or clean a metal and an angle grinder would be over-kill. The only downside is that the brush doesn't last as along as I expected for the price. I most recently used it to bust rust on my dishwasher racks as part of a repair. It cleaned rust in over a dozen small areas and half the brush was worn down after. The good thing is that it did not loose bristles. I use these wire brushes in my Dremel 200 which has a 1/8" collet.

Steel Brush - perfect for furniture refinishing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Removing the old varnish from the detailed carvings of a family heirloom became a simple project using a carbon steel brush with my Dremel. This refinishing project moved along quickly with the small, precise brushes. It made what would have been an enormously time-consuming job very doable and allowed me to restore the beautiful wood frame of this antique marbletop table to look better than ever.

Great tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the kit almost 2 yrs ago. I use it to clean off the antique chairs of my mom's. I also used it for any parts I needed to replace because of the intricate woodwork.

Used to restore old lanterns
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our fire department is refurbishing a 1920 truck. I volunteered to redo the oil lamps that hang on the back. The brush has helped me remove the rust without damaging the lamp

The Bad Reviews Come From Misunderstanding
This tiny wire wheel works great - if you use it for LIGHT DUTY work on SOFT materials. I used mine to remove "polycoat" from a metal part. This dremel attachment did remove the coating, but did not remove the hard melonite coating underneath. Is that a bad thing? In my case, yes. But this would have been a GREAT thing IF I would have wanted to keep the melonite. I think here is where Dremel should step up their game and treat customers like professionals. Give us more technical details on the brush including wire gauge, wire density, wire material, grade, and hardness. Then offer a wide selection instead of one generic light duty tool that works for some and not others.

We are very sorry the accessories did not meet your expectations. When using these wire wheels, we ask users to make sure they are not exceeding the 15,000 RPM speed limit. That's so important. We also suggest not applying pressure to the wires - use the tips. When you apply pressure, the wire can fracture. When the tips are used, the wheel will have a longer life.
Nice little wire brush. Some say it wears out...
Nice little wire brush. Some say it wears out fast. It does, but you need to realize the faster you run your Dremel, the faster the tiny wires flex and break. Also the instructions show that it has a speed limit not to exceed. I use it to take corrosion off of aluminum and steel
