I just purchased this torch today and everything from the tool to the accessories came well packaged, undamaged, and in tip top shape as advertised. I really like the simple tin case it comes with, very nice touch for that clean look to keep a tidy work space and being that it's a flat box shape, it hardly takes up any area in my little work bubble. Very easy to store which helps achieve those brief moments you get of having everything organized. Also, for being a complete newbie to the arts and crafts world, literally... this is my very first soldering iron/torch I've picked up and I must say, out of all the air and power tools i've recently just started learning, this by far has been the easiest tool to get myself comfortable and confident with when it comes to using and learning all the types of accessories it comes with. All it took was 2 very short youtube tutorials and half an hour for me to familiarize myself with the basics. Also this is one of the very few tools where I did not have to spend an hour or two of web searching just to find an actual tutorial video that shows how to use the actual tool and its accessories, and not just 10 minutes of unboxing with a quick 20 second opinion. I've found that for this model, there are plenty enough tutorials and demonstrations just on YT alone for anyone to learn more than what is needed to get started using it. I learned how to solder in 2 minutes without injury using this. Really a great beginner friendly tool. There's also a very nice weight to it, to where I was able to play around with it for an hour without breaking it or any wrist and grip issues where i felt i had to put it down to take a break. The specs say it can run continuously for up to 75 minutes on a full tank, and me being a beginner, feel like there will be no problem working with the tool for that long if i ever find the need to. All the parts also attach to the tool very snug and tights, and since I'm using a torch to craft with for the first time ever, that really helps eliminate the worry of if i tightened or attached something properly and allows me to focus completely on learning how to use it the tool properly for my projects. I highly recommend this, if you're a complete beginner and learning how to craft through DiY YT tutorials, as i am. I feel it's an ideal torch to learn with, due to the solid build, the ease of changing and understanding the use of the tips and attachments along with iMo, the price point for the torch or any replacement parts are very budget friendly, so that if something was to ever break, i won't ever find myself stressing on having to decide which kidney i'd have to sell just to replace it. I've also read many blogs and reviews during my research before deciding which brand to buy, that warned about plenty of China made knockoffs of this specific model, to the point of it being made to look exactly like one and even being advertised as an actual dremel tool, and are being sold on alot of popular online selling platforms. Idk, just something to consider, if that kind of thing does matter to you any. I find that if it comes down to it, the little extra I spend at big named stores is well worth the peace of mind you get with purchasing anything, especially nowadays when everything you buy usually is more of an investment. Hope my 2 cents helps you out ... aLoHa ...

      Great for artists
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually own two of these. Love this little thing. Even bought extra tips for wood-burning . Would be lost without this tool. So glad I found it.

          A Hot Little Number!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dremel hit it out of the park with this little gem. Upon opening the package I was surprised to see such an elegant carrying case included in the packaging. Everything you need to burn, solder, cut, and melt is contained all in one handy little package. The VersaTip comes with 6 different attachment tips or can be used as a small yet powerful little torch. Dremel also provides solder in the kit which worked just fine for soldering some small broken electrical connections on my kids toys, but I wouldn't recommend it for larger applications. The torch made cutting through rope a breeze, and left the ends nice and melted to avoid fraying. I was also able to use the torch and shaping tip to do some highlighting and shading on some pyrography projects I've been working on. While using the Versatip, it took a little while for me to get used to the ignition trigger and lock. However, after a "burning" through a few small projects, it became second nature and I can't really say it is a negative. It will definitely work to keep the kids from starting it up. It's really not a con, but the only thing that I could think would be an improvement, is if it came with it's own supply of butane. Throughout testing the VersaTip, I really struggled to find anything negative to comment on. Overall, this little torch will be a great addition to my workshop I'm looking forward to using it for other applications. I really like the speed at which you can heat it up. Within seconds, the VersaTip gets hot enough to do whatever you need it to. However, I wasn't able to run it long enough to see how long the tank would last after a full fill, but from what it seemed, a fill will get your through dozens of small jobs. Another Dremel tool I won't be able to live without!

            A must-have!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Dremel VERSATIP around the second week of December and it has been a blessing. Not only has it helped with everyday repairs and hobbies but it saved one of my grandsons Christmas presents. He had received a RC car from a family member and apparently he ran in a little to hard into a chair which made the antenna srop working. After taking it apart it was obvious the solder had broken free. Within 1 minute and the soldering tip his car was back up and running and smacking everything in sight with no problems... The Dremel Versatip is a must have for anyone. My oldest son even used it to put a design on his handmade walking stick.. There are so many uses for the Versatip that I would highly recommend this tool to all my friends and family along with any hobbiest from handmade crafts to maintenance mechanics that deal with hard to reach places.

              Works Great and many Accessories
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Dremel Versa Tip 2000-01 Troch is very simple to use and works great. The safety lock is very effective but still easy to use. The torch heats up very fast and the flame controller slide works smoothly and provides a wide range of heat temperatures. It came in a sturdy case and there are many useful tips included. The attached picture shows me testing the torch on an open area of a television circuit board. I went on to repair the board and the television is now good as new. Love the torch.

                Handy Tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used the torch a couple times so far, but it works well. Heats up in about 30-60 seconds, and is ready to go. I did some light wood burning, and the only issue I had was not being cautious about where the exhaust port was pointing.

                  Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This think works and works well. I received this to try and evaluate.. To try it out I used it for soldering a spliced connection, cutting nylon rope, and a little wood burning. It performed these tasks flawlessly.

Nice butane fueled tool, with a few tips to allow for different applications. Nice case easy to store, handles nicely too. I'm primarily using this as a replacement for my electric soldering iron. I ruined my iron cutting through some woven plastic material, ruining the built in tip. So I really like the concept of the replaceable tips, especially since one is perfect for burning plastics, and another for soldering, my two main applications. I'm going to use it for a wood burned sign I've got planned too. Really nice to not have to worry about ruining a tip experimenting with it!
