About This Product

The DuraTrel Elmwood 57 in. x 85 in. White Vinyl Arbor uses slim construction to serve as a skeleton for draping clematis or wisteria. The twisting vines will eventually overtake the framework to welcome guests into your garden via a doorway of greenery and fragrant blossoms. Only a glimpse of the crisp, straight lines will peek out, but the arbor itself will serve as a beautiful hardscape element all on its own until the plants take over. Made from PVC with a UV stabilizer so it won't rot, crack, or fade even after years of exposure to the elements. It arrives ready to assemble, and includes all hardware and ground anchors. All Duratrel products come with a 20-year limited manufacturer warranty.

Perfect size good for the money
I bought the almond color. This was a little hard to assemble but we took our time. We did add more weight to hold it down but overall I can’t be happier. The product has gone through some tough weather wind etc but held up excellent. I bought this for my birds and they love it.

This was perfect for my area! It's helpful to have a helper for final set up, but I was able to do it ALL BY MYSELF, with some creative thinking. I'm very pleased with the product.

The arbor was easy to put together , except for one thing it was to short for me. So i extended it using 1.5 inch pvc it slid the bottom like a glove and i dug my holes and concret it into ground

The product was quite simple to install. Looks nice for the quality of the product. Fit perfect to the location that was needed. Much easier with two people to install as to pieces needed to be held in place while others were inserted. Fast and free shipping. Just what I needed and expected for the price.

Don't waste your time or money on this! I followed the instructions to the letter and found the entire experience completely frustrating and disappointing. First, the slat openings were not made large enough to fit the slats so I had to enlarge them. Then, the instructions specified using 1 1/4" screws but the diagram showed 1 1/2" (see images). Common sense told me to use the 1 1/2", but I feel it wouldn't make much difference because the whole thing felt weak and poorly made. Lastly, when trying to attach the top to the sides, again, the slot was not large enough and it ended up cracking the side post. I am returning this for my money back. Too bad I can't get my time back or the gas for making the trip all the way back to Home Depot. This is now the third purchase that is going back. The wood posts I bought there there warped. A push broom fell apart. I am no longer a Home Depot shopper. Back to the local mom and pop hardware stores for me!

The instruction were clear and easy to follow. One thing was that the illustration directions referred to 4 each 1 3/4 screws, which I searched for these screws for awhile, but the written direction said these screws should be 1 1/2 inch screws. All turned out well and the arch was actually what I hoped it would be. I assembled this arch be myself, which was tricking when I tried to install the top rails to the sides of the arch. I used bungee cords to hold it to gather so I could complete the final steps. Looks great, I love it.

                Nice vinyl arbor
Assembly was clear and proceeded easily except when I didn't pay attention to details of cut outs on main columns. The only reason I don't "Love it" is that the final assembly is wobbly. Another problem was pounding the stakes into my rototilled garden deformed them to the point that they wouldn't fit inside the main columns. I finally had straighten them out, then insert them into the main columns, dig out large holes, adjust the depth and then tamp the earth around the stakes. It took a lot of fiddling to get all four columns level and plumb. The final product looks good and is what we wanted instead of high maintenance wood. I just hope that it holds it's shape once the honeysuckle vines really fill in and provide wind resistance. If I had to do it over, I'd cement the stakes into the ground and brace everything until it sets up.
