18,000 BTU Vent Free Infrared Liquid Propane Thermostatic Wall Heater

I just installed this in my recently finished 2 car garage and it so far is working great. It heats the 720 square foot room plenty warm for performing maintenance on even a cold day. I used a 100 gallon propane tank as the fuel source, and after a week of very cold weather it appears as if it’s going to be very efficient. It also is very clean burning, there are no traces of the old “propane heater” smell of older gas heaters. I like that it has an adjustable thermostat, we can turn it down very low when a lot of heat is not needed, saving propane. The battery power spark igniter works great, making a continuous spark instead of a single spark like the old clicker type ignitors.

This is a nice heater that will keep a room warm, comfortable and at an even temperature. The fit and finish on the heater is very, very nice and would look nice in any décor. What you get in the box: Infrared heater Wall mounting bracket Wall mounting hardware AA battery for Piezo pilot light start I added the optional feet so the heater can be more portable in my shop areas. This is a great heater for heating something like a shop, milk room or other areas where ventilation is available, these heaters are not to be used in sleeping areas or areas with little to no available ventilation. The Infrared Heater delivers very nice spot warmth like sitting in front of a fireplace and the warmth also fills the room with even heat, where the Blue Flame heater gives more gentle warmth without the spot heat. This is a great little heater that will easily heat a 400 Sq. Ft. area and keep it a comfortable temperature with the built-in thermostat.

This Dyna-Glo 18.000 BTU model IR18PMDG-1 heater can put out some heat. I have it in a 600 square foot garage that has two 9' over head doors. I am pleased with the performance, though it has not got into single digits outside at this time of year. It's nice looking, quiet and works just fine. What more can you ask for? The packaging and operator booklet have clear hook up requirements as well as plumbing diagrams showing exactly what plumbing requirements are needed. The customer booklets are very clear and user friendly. The Dyna-Glo website (ghpgroupinc.cpm) offers technical support by way of e-mail or a toll free number. Parts are also available. This heater is not controlled by a thermostat. The temperature output is manually controlled with a temperature stage knob. This 18,000 BTU heater has a 5 stage control knob.Works great after you get used to it. One hundred pound liquid propane tanks are required for hook up and are readily available. No hook up hoses or plumbing are included. The reason for the 100 lb. tanks are the "unit requires an inlet gas pressure of 11"-14" of water column pressure in order to operate. This is best achievable with 100 lb tank.This will allow the gas to vaporize at the correct speed and pressure and will not freeze up the regulator". ..per the Dyna-Glo support team. Being a wall mounted product, no feet are included within the heater, though they are available for after market purchase. No blower is included and again, Dyna-Glo has one available for after market purchase. I run a box fan in my garage which circulates all the air, including the heat output from this heater. Ignitor battery and mounting bracket with hardware, included within the package.

Had 200 lb tank. No where was disclosed to me!!!!

Wish the thermostat could be adjusted for temperature. One setting on the dial and the heater ranges 30 degrees in temperature.

We love our Dyna-Glo heater, it's every thing we hoped for and more.

Best portable heater puts out awesome heat! Didn't even need the optional fan. Used it on a 15' x 20' B.R. Temperature outside was 13 degrees and wasn't even close to midways on the thermostat setting.
