This product that I purchased online was used in my garage and it doesn’t work. Smelt like propane only and no ticking when trying ignite.
No
Don't mean to sound critical, but you ask a very open question. How big is the room? How high is the ceiling? Is it insulated. My room is 24' X 36', non insulated, with a 12' ceiling. My starting temp. is usually below freezing-like 20 degrees. Heater has to run about 7 hours to get warm enough to heat roof so that 4' of snow will start to slide off. Unit works very well for conditions it has to contend with for heating. One thing I can say for sure is that if you use a 5 gallon propane bottle, make sure to place it in from of the heater like 10' away to keep it warm because if you don't the tank will freeze up and your heater output drops like 50%.
I have I idea. I don’t use it that way. I use it in a very large Uninsulated area and run it full blast aimed at the area where we are working and it keeps us warm enough to work comfortably. I believe the manufacturer could give you the information you are looking for.
of course it needs electricity. it's an electric fan.
I have used it approximately 5-6 hours, but if you don't keep the bottom of the tank thawed out, it will freeze the bottom, and slow down the propane slightly. It will freeze to the floor if your not careful
Depends on the size of the room of course. I use it to heat a 2 car garage in winter & it easily handles it. I shut it down every 1/2 hr or so once things warm up (approx 60 F). Very happy with this heater. Also, be very careful with using this indoors - they consume oxygen!
if you get the right adapter, I don't see a reason your couldn't run this off of your large tank.
